Harris just said “Republicans” removing ineligible voters and illegals from the voter rolls is "CHEATING" and it’s removing Democrats' "tools."

One of the things we like to do here on this show, for whatever reason, is predict who the Democrats are going to pick to try to run for president in 2028

Nigel (0:13)

AOC, Mamdami.

Hammer (0:17)

I couldn't imagine.

Nigel (0:19)

El-Sayed.

Hammer (0:22)

Well, he's not even going to be a senator. Those guys, those people that you said, no way.

Nigel (0:28)

But AOC has got a shot now. Don't laugh at that.

She's a fundraising machine. She's single. She's right. You don't think that people wouldn't get behind donating to AOC?

Hammer (0:40)

I think people would get behind donating to Kamala Harris before they would AOC.

Nigel (0:47)

Oh, no way.

Hammer (0:48)

I certainly do, because Kamala has the pedigree. She was a senator. She was the vice president.

Nigel (0:56)

And she lost the popular vote, which is almost impossible to do as a Democrat.

Hammer (1:01)

Even when she was running for president, she had to drop out there in the primary, didn't she?

Nigel (1:06)

Right. Like think of some of the zeros that were toward the bottom of that Democrat primary.

Hammer (1:11)

So many zeros.

Nigel (1:13)

Amy Klobuchar finished better than Kamala Harris did. But Kamala Harris still laying the groundwork. She hasn't made it official, but she's dipping that toe in the water, Nigel, to see if there's interest for a presidential run.

She's ripping the Republicans.

And the reason why may surprise you. Take a listen to this. Kamala Harris ripping those no good rotten, and here's air quotes, Republicans because they had the gall, the audacity to remove ineligible voters from voter rolls. She calls it cheating.

SPEAKER_3 (1:55)

They have tried to, and in some cases, have successfully taken the tools that we've relied on for the last 50 years. The Voting Rights Act, Section 5 and Section 2 is no longer available to us.

They're cheating with all this redistricting that they are doing. They are cheating.

Hammer (2:14)

You did it too.

SPEAKER_3 (2:16)

Changing polling locations so that our elders who are used to voting at the elementary school down the street may go there on election day and find out it is no longer a polling place.

Hammer (2:28)

Oh no, the elders.

SPEAKER_3 (2:29)

They are cheating by purging voter rolls. So we say as leaders then to folks, not only must you register to vote, check your voter registration status to make sure you haven't been purged from the rolls.

Nigel (2:42)

How dare we kick off ineligible voters or people that aren't citizens from the voting roll. That's cheating.

Hammer (2:50)

The elders won't know where to go to vote on voting day.

Nigel (2:55)

So to recap, Kamala Harris says you're too dumb to know where to go to vote and what they've been doing for 50 years is in danger now. Well, you just told me you want ineligible voters on the ballot and you've been banking on it for 50 years, wine mom. You said the quiet part out loud. And oh, by the way, if that's not enough, if you really break down the information, Section 5 of the Voting Rights Act wasn't deleted from the Republicans. It was a Supreme Court decision in 2013

Shelby County decision struck down the coverage formula that determined which jurisdictions had to get federal pre-clearance before changing the voting laws.

Hammer (3:43)

Was that Shelby County, Indiana?

Nigel (3:45)

That was not. And Section 2, it still exists. The Supreme Court just changed how Section 2 can be used in redistricting this year.

So nothing's been deleted or erased by the Republicans. The Supreme Court back in 2013 said one thing, and this year, they basically made it state's rights.

Hammer (4:10)

Does Kamala really have a chance in 2028?

SPEAKER_3 (4:13)

No. I mean, let's be honest.

Nigel (4:14)

No.

Hammer (4:15)

Who's it going to be? I love this game. It's going to be Gavin. It's going to be, even though the Democrats are the party of identity politics, it's going to be a slick white guy with a beautiful smile and a nice head of hair.

And it's going to be him versus JD Vance, I think. That's what I think.

Nigel (4:40)

Gavin Newsom said he would not run if Kamala Harris ran.

Hammer (4:44)

Oh, but there's a story behind that.

Nigel (4:47)

I think Gavin knows exactly what's going to happen. The donors will pick that out. The donors will gravitate toward him and not America's wine mom. And that will eliminate Kamala. So he'll have the race to himself in terms of California standards. Now, you still have some other folks. There are some people saying maybe Shapiro in Pennsylvania.
