Good morning, everyone. It is Monday, June 22nd. It is 8 a.m. Eastern Time. This is the Daily Cyber Threat Brief number episode. What are we on? 1158 It's going to be a banger of a show today. Thanks for joining me. Let's get started.
Well, hey there, everyone, welcome to the Daily Cyber Threat Brief. I am obviously not Jerry Auger, who is normally sitting in this spot. Hopefully, everybody's having a great day today. We are going to look at the top headlines for cybersecurity news, thanks to the CSO series that always delivers the goods when it comes to what the heck is going on in the world with some cybersecurity information out there. And I hope everyone's having a banger of a day today. Got a lot of stuff to get through. Got a lot of articles to crank out today. Some of them are fairly interesting. I obviously catch the headlines as I prepare for the show. I did not read or prepare beforehand with what the content of that is, so that ought to make the show quite interesting. Lord's K-Mobile Cup. No, it's not a monster. For those of you that follow me, it's just water.
You got to stay hydrated in this game, kids. You got to keep the pipes liquefied, as it were. All right, let's see here. What are we doing today?
We are going to hit those headlines. Also, by the way, we're going to have a nice little advice. I will be hanging out after the headline part of the show today for the cybersecurity hotline to answer your questions as well. I love that I get potential spam in the middle of the columns. They're going for me right out of the gate, but they got to make that money somehow. The spam ain't going to spam itself, unfortunately. That would be kind of awesome if it did though, wouldn't it? Anyway, moving on, one lovely thing we like to do, at least talk about when it comes to the show, is you get CPE credit for this. If you need CPEs, Daily Cyber Threat Brief has got you covered. You can earn 0.5 or a half of a CPE per episode. There is a whole shebang about this. I did forget to bring this up. Let me grab that. Jerry has gone out of his way. He created the Cyber, what is it?
I can't see anymore. It's cyberthreatbrief.com.
So cyberthreatbrief, I'm typing it out, dot simply cyber.io. I'm sorry, not dot com.io. And here, with this lovely thing, let me bring that in.
Where's my button? There it is. That's what it looks like right there. This is where you can get more information about that. If you look right here at the top of your screen, it says CPE, hit that button, and you can learn more about how to actually grab that CPE for yourself and utilize it for your own benefit. It's a resource that is there for you, so be sure to avail yourself of it. You can see we're right here on 1158 That's today's episode.
All right, so make sure I got the CPE stuff done. First timers, yes, first timers out there. Please do us a favor, drop in the chat a little hashtag. It says hashtag first timers. So the people out there that are in the chat room can give you a proper greeting. I don't have all the fun whiz bangs that Jerry has with his soundboard and the fun sound effects that come along with them. So sorry. That's just my show is not set up for that. It's funny, you don't get all that stuff. You think, oh, it's all built. No, it's not, it's not. Restream just gives you access to show you my camera, let you hear my voice and share my screen. If I wanted anything else, I'd have to have like Jerry's production pack and OBS and then Connect My OBS. It's a lot of technical stuff that goes along. Just to get the audio. You wonder why Jerry has audio issues all the time? It's because it's about as easy as stinking alien math. You know what I'm saying? Like if people from Klepton 5 showed up, it was like, your math is so simplistic, let me show you how math is done. We'd be like, is my nose bleeding? Because that's some hard math right there. It's the same idea when it comes to the whole audio setup. You got to route channels and get stuff like, I'm using a software audio mixer, you can use hardware audio mixers and blah, blah, blah. It's a big to do, which is why audio tends to go off the rails here.
