JP Morgan has dropped a new report, and I think everyone who has read the report was surprised that one, JP Morgan even included Bitcoin in this report, but two, they actually think Bitcoin will be and is the best performing asset over the next 10 years. Of course, everyone's wondering how fast will Bitcoin take to monetize in the future, and JP Morgan looks to have entered the ring with their own price prediction.
But before we get to that, guys, we have to remind ourselves how far we have come. So I have a classic clip of Jamie Dimon here, what he's been saying about Bitcoin for years. If you've heard it, you already know, but it's good context for where we're going. So give me a minute, here it is.
Julian (0:48)
You said that it's as useless as a pet rock. What do you really think? You're gonna have some kind of digital currency at one point.
SPEAKER_3 (0:57)
So I'm not against crypto.
SPEAKER_4 (0:59)
You know, Bitcoin itself has no intrinsic value.
Julian (1:01)
It's used heavily by traffickers, money launderers, ransomware. So I just don't feel great about Bitcoin.
SPEAKER_4 (1:09)
I applaud your ability to want to buy or sell it.
Julian (1:11)
Just like, I think you have the right to smoke, but I don't think you should smoke.

Bitcoin, and he's got 2018, he starts coming around. I regret making that comment. You guys heard this clip. I think that clip I had was 2023, but obviously he's coming around, and for everyone out there, if you're aware, obviously. He is the authorized participant to the BlackRock iBit ETF. So now that he can make money off Bitcoin, he's like, I love Bitcoin, and now we have their recent report. But before I get to that, guys, go wide shot here. I am with the one and only legendary memelord now, Coinjoin Chris here in the studio with me. He's going to be the co-host for me. Wide shot, guys, so they can see You see. me getting mogged here, so I can get mogged by CoinJoin Chris.
I need to sit up a little more. Okay, guys, so we got a couple of guests coming in today as well, but let's get into this report here. So this just dropped, and it is titled the 2027 Long-Term Capital Market Assumptions. And it's the classic, first they ignore you, then they fight you, then they join you. Now, the interesting part, again, is just the Association of Bitcoin in general. They did this whole long report, and they really, I think, begrudgingly added Bitcoin in the end. They're like, okay, we're not going to do the whole report on Bitcoin, but we're going to add it in there. And that's kind of just the biggest game changer throughout this whole thing. Again, they are bending the knee here. They have to acknowledge that you need to own Bitcoin. Whether they really like it or not, it's beside the point. The numbers don't lie. So that's where it gets interesting for us, guys. So let me zoom in here for you, and you can see there is Bitcoin and everything else. US cash, aggregate bonds, investment-grade corporate bonds, high-yield bonds, large-cap, small-cap equities, emerging market equities, et cetera, et cetera, et cetera, even gold in here. And Bitcoin, this is where I think all of us will be like, they don't understand what they're saying. They're not bullish enough. They have a 10% compound annual return on Bitcoin.
10% is like, over the next 10 years is crazy bearish here. But the number is still better than everything else in their report. So even though they didn't add Bitcoin that much in this report, they're still saying one thing, Bitcoin is going to give you the best return over the next 10 years, even if the numbers are way worse than we think it's going to be. Now, they have one more screen grab here. And again, it's just the same thing. Now, the only number I really want to pull in here is their yearly growth here. So they have a bear case of 10% or 10.7%.
They have a bear case that over the next 10 years, it's going to go down a negative 9.7% for 10 years. And then their bull case is a shockingly low 17%.
So even though they didn't add Bitcoin to the report, did a whole breakdown of it, they had to put it in there a little bit. The returns are way worse than any of us probably think it's going to be over the next 10 years. And are we surprised at all? Not really. Obviously, I think they just had to add it, so it shows that they are actually up to date on what's going on. Again, it's their 2027 long-term capital report. They didn't add Bitcoin, especially when they're the ETF authorized participant for the BlackRock iBit. You're like, are they even doing their jobs at this point? I do have the Kager calculator, so I'll give the people the price predictions afterwards. But let's just start, Chris, with the fact that they're adding this to the report. Jamie Dimon has been a huge Bitcoin hater, and now he's got his analysts out there doing our jobs for us.
