SPEAKER_1 (0:05)

You're listening to The Hammer and Nigel Show. Victory Monday?

SPEAKER_2 (0:08)

Are you kidding me?

SPEAKER_3 (0:09)

Victory Monday, baby.

SPEAKER_1 (0:10)

Finally, the Colts win. Final score, 19 to 17, at home at Lucas Oil over the AFC South rivals, the Houston Texans.

SPEAKER_3 (0:21)

Could have really used 21 points.

SPEAKER_1 (0:24)

Yeah, I was wondering about that.

SPEAKER_3 (0:27)

Poor guy.

Daniel Jones had two fumbles and a pick and he's a turnover machine. Oh, yeah, it's a rough year for turnovers for Danny Dimes.

SPEAKER_1 (0:38)

Look at us picking apart the Colts already and they won.

SPEAKER_3 (0:43)

That's the beauty of the AFC South. You win a divisional game. You're back in the mix, baby, because everybody stinks.

Maybe the Jags are good. Yeah, maybe they are in first place. Colts are a game behind Jacksonville, but only one game. Heading into this weekend, only one team had won a game in the division and it was Jacksonville.

So no, that was a good win. It was ugly, but the Colts will take it. Now the Colts will be in London to take on the artist formerly known as the Redskins, the Washington commanders. Okay, this Sunday at 930 a.m. Nige. So it's a little get up early, you know, get that keg on ice pretty early because 930 a.m. kickoff.

SPEAKER_1 (1:35)

Lins and I have been sleeping until 10 o'clock on the weekend, so I might you might have to turn it at halftime.

SPEAKER_3 (1:44)

But hey, a win is a win. Sure. Now there was a game in Rio de Janeiro yesterday because the NFL is trying to do all these international games to try to grow the NFL.

The Ravens and the Cowboys. This is a really good matchup of like good teams, popular teams. And the Ravens kicked a 56 yard field goal at the buzzer to beat the Cowboys, tore the heart out of the Cowboys there at the very end.

So the Portuguese broadcast of Tyler Loops game winning field goal for the Ravens. You would have thought this was a walk off to win the Super Bowl. This is what it sounded like on Portuguese radio.

SPEAKER_1 (2:28)

Tyler Loops to try to win the game for Baltimore Ravens. And that's an answer, I could do it.

SPEAKER_3 (3:04)

Well, you could call soccer games internationally and be a star. OK, so tell me which call you like better, the Portuguese call of the Ravens winning it or the Iowa Hawkeyes student broadcast at Michigan, final play of the game, the walk off touchdown pass as the Hawkeyes beat Michigan.

SPEAKER_2 (3:30)

A defining Iowa moment. Waits in the wings, can he snatch it? Empty in the backfield, hits his back foot, throws to the end zone, back shoulder!

SPEAKER_1 (3:41)

Is he gone? Oh my God!

SPEAKER_2 (3:43)

Oh my God, he caught it!

SPEAKER_3 (3:44)

Oh my God, he caught it! Yes! Western Michigan and the college football world!

SPEAKER_2 (3:49)

Iowa has your back!

SPEAKER_3 (3:51)

Yes!

SPEAKER_1 (3:52)

I love that.

SPEAKER_3 (3:53)

I love the shout out to Western Michigan. Western Michigan, Iowa has your back.

SPEAKER_1 (3:59)

That's a reference to their game that they almost won last week, right?

SPEAKER_3 (4:03)

Week one.

SPEAKER_1 (4:04)

I'm sorry, week one. Yeah.

SPEAKER_3 (4:05)

Yeah.

So, yeah, that was a heck of a call. That's awesome. First of all, that Iowa lets their students like go on the road to the big house to do the play by play, because I'm sure they have like an official Hawkeyes Radio Network.

SPEAKER_1 (4:20)

Yeah.

SPEAKER_3 (4:21)

But they also let their students broadcast the game. I think that's awesome.

Hoosiers won tough game on Friday. Cignetti kept saying all week, guys, Northwestern is actually pretty good. This isn't the same dog crap Northwestern team of years past. They showed up to play on Friday and the Hoosiers had their work cut out for them. But they got a big win.

And you know who else won? Gamblers who listened to this show. So another week where we hit 75 percent of our bets. How about that? Myself and David Stefanoff. Now, granted, David once again went undefeated. I went one and one. But I'll take credit of being lumped in to the three out of four. OK, I gave the Tennessee Vols covering on Saturday and we've hit six of the last eight as a brain trust.

SPEAKER_1 (5:09)

Nice.

SPEAKER_3 (5:10)

So Fridays at three twenty. Make sure you guys are listening because we're kind of on a heater right now. Did you watch any of the President's Cup golf?

SPEAKER_1 (5:19)

None and none. I was over at my neighbors briefly. We flipped back and forth on Sunday, but I didn't watch any of it.
