The Hammer and Nigel present is the song.
Allison (0:06)
It depends upon what the meaning of the word is.

Is this anything?
SPEAKER_3 (0:13)
All right, let's rock and roll.

Dateline Wisconsin.
SPEAKER_1 (0:33)
Give it to me.
SPEAKER_4 (0:34)
A Wisconsin woman is accused of pretending to be a substitute teacher, going into a classroom, and making fun of all the kids.
SPEAKER_1 (0:44)
That's kind of funny.
SPEAKER_4 (0:45)
Here's a reporter talking about some of the things that Amy Jones did and said.
SPEAKER_5 (0:51)
Students also say Jones started playing rap music very loud and dissed kids for weight, race, looks, and money, even asking if any students had a vape or marijuana because, quote, the class was so lame and annoying.
SPEAKER_1 (1:06)
Boy, this class sucks. We need to liven it up a little bit. Anybody got a vape? This is something for sure. What kind of scrutiny is the Wisconsin school system?
You know, what's going on there? How do you how are you able to do something like this? I was a substitute teacher right after college or right during college for Tri-West at Danville. I think I went to Plainfield a couple of times, and it was you had to go through a screening process. I don't know if it's changed since then.
SPEAKER_4 (1:41)
This took a walk right in there and just started roasting people like it was Tom Brady's roast.
SPEAKER_1 (1:46)
It was the easiest job ever. All you have to do is sit there and read a magazine and occasionally poke your head out from behind whatever you're reading and say, hey, hey, shut up.
SPEAKER_4 (2:00)
Did you have to yell at kids?
SPEAKER_1 (2:03)
I think I told I think I told them to be quiet.
SPEAKER_4 (2:07)
Give me your teacher, Laskow, Mr. Laskowski.
SPEAKER_1 (2:10)
Okay, I would be sitting there. I remember I'm 20 years old and I'm like probably tired because I worked an overnight shift from the radio station. But I also had this gig where they would call you at five o'clock in the morning. Right. And say, hey, so and so is out. Can you come to this? I was in the Hendricks County School Corporation.
So I'd just be sitting there, just tired. I wasn't drinking yet, by the way, just so you know.
SPEAKER_4 (2:37)
Legally, legally.
SPEAKER_1 (2:39)
No, I would sit there reading the paper, reading a magazine, and some kid would, you know, and I'd be like, hey, shut it. Quiet it. Quiet. Quiet.
That's that's my substitute teacher vernacular. That was a enough enough.
SPEAKER_4 (3:01)
It sounded like you were shooing away a bear 110 percent. Did you get the same vibe, Allison? That was this shooing away a bear voice.
Allison (3:10)
I think that's how he talks to his dog, Junior.
SPEAKER_1 (3:13)
Hey, Junior is.
SPEAKER_4 (3:14)
Hey, no peon on the carpet.
SPEAKER_1 (3:17)
Hey, but that's probably, I mean, identical to what I would do back then. Hey, I would honestly sit there and read all day long. It was the easiest gig ever. I'd do it again if I could.
SPEAKER_4 (3:32)
Did that, hey, work? Did the kids like, oh, wow, Mr. Laskowski's being serious.
SPEAKER_5 (3:39)
He said, hey, it never worked.
SPEAKER_4 (3:43)
No, it's not even a real teacher.
SPEAKER_1 (3:44)
They were even even back then, they were disrespectful little a-holes.
SPEAKER_4 (3:49)
Did anybody know who you were from the radio station? Like any?
SPEAKER_1 (3:53)
No, I was working at the bear.
Allison (3:56)
Okay, so I don't know.
SPEAKER_4 (3:58)
Yeah, we got the ranger in class today. I can't believe how lucky we are that the Rump Ranger just told me, hey, wow.
SPEAKER_1 (4:14)
Everybody having a good time? Great. That's fantastic. Okay.
SPEAKER_4 (4:19)
Is this anything? A guy in LA runs a horror themed convenience store filled with food that's played a role in scary movies and Halloween themes.
Here's the owner and the curator talking about his quirky little gas station.
SPEAKER_3 (4:38)
So I own a store called the Mystic Museum, which is a horror immersive experience and gift shop. I just felt like I needed to change and do something a lot more whimsical, a lot more fun. I want to do something retro. But within the horror vibe, the bodega just seemed very, like, fun. It just seemed like, oh, wow, what if there was an all horror-themed bodega or convenience store? I've never heard of it before.
