The WNBA and the officials need to alter the rules for Caitlin Clark. The WNBA and opposing players need to treat Caitlin Clark more gently. Caitlin Clark's coach needs to be cognizant of how she talks to her in public, because it's going to look like there's an issue. Unless we can take off our gloves for Caitlin Clark and stop trying to act like she's a messiah, the WNBA could and would be better off without Caitlin Clark, at least without this version of everybody coddling and caressing and catering to Caitlin Clark.

I mean, so I just wanted to Google this, because I want to make sure I had these facts correctly, because I had heard this. So I just put in a simple Google attendance when Caitlin Clark is at your stadium versus when she's not. Pretty simple to look up.
Games featuring Caitlin Clark's WNBA attendance spike over 100 percent compared to games when she's not. While NBA teams typically average around six thousand to eight thousand. When Caitlin's there, you get sixteen thousand.
It goes on further. Venue relocation is a big one. Opposing teams frequently move their games to bigger stadiums when you have Caitlin in town. This goes right up there with Christine Brennan, who was a writer for the USA Today, that claimed that when the Big Ten said they wanted to play football during the COVID year, that was the quote, darkest hour in the conference history. Now, mind you, the Big Ten has had the Jerry Sandusky scandal. They've had the Larry Nassar scandal. You had Woody Hayes punch a kid on the sideline. You got Bob Knight allegedly putting law enforcement in Puerto Rico in a trash can. You got a lot of stuff that could be considered controversial in the Big Ten. But healthy college kids playing a game outdoors was the darkest hour.
