If you drop your phone or your wallet that's got a substantial amount of money, your credit cards, your bank cards in it, in a situation like this, do you reach down and get it or do you cut your losses? If it doesn't have a heartbeat, I am not going to retrieve it.

OK, let's let's lessen the stakes here a little bit. What if you dropped your wallet with a lot of money in it or your iPhone and just like the regular toilet there in the bathroom down the hallway?
