Welcome back to the Ruthless Variety Program. I'm Josh Holmes, along with comfortably Smug, Michael Duncan and John Ashbrook. Left or right across your radio dial is absolutely always, I'll be honest, I'm not sure what you're going to get here. We've gone through a whole bunch of emotion, the whole Fauci testimony.
There's a bunch of time there that I think we'd like to forget. We didn't want to re-examine. I don't know about you guys.

I think it's important to start off by saying that is because when you say the word Covid, I feel like 99 percent of people, it doesn't matter which person, whatever. For 99 percent of people, it feels like, oh yeah, that terrible time I would never want to revisit whatsoever.
This is a case of where you got to overcome that because believe me, it was awful. Everyone knows it was terrible. It's horrific what it was done to Americans.

I feel like you had it pretty good.

Let me tell you this, chart of Covid, when I went down and I was staying with my grandfather because news reports had you think that grocery deliveries, you should give Lysol wipes or my grandfather is going to die. This was beyond how terribly Americans were forced to live in their homes. Kids can't go to school and everything, but it was like a psychological experiment of you'd have people like Fauci, and now we know, just creating these rules of if you're within six feet, you're going to kill people. It's going to be just absolute bloodbath and murder.
And so all of us need to overcome that block in your mind of like, I never want to think about that time period again because accountability is finally on the way.

Yeah. I did feel like you were a frontline soldier when you were ordering your takeout and your alcohol deliveries.

And that's another interesting thing. I was thinking about that actually the other day.
I went through God knows how many bottles of bourbon that were like, delivered to my place. And it's like, in hindsight, I was like, how did I not die as a result of that? But like, that's another effect is like, so many people were like drinking like hell.

You were in a unique position where you actually didn't have like, wife and kids at this particular moment in time.

We'll definitely get into it, but like, I cannot imagine the horror, first off, that you gentlemen had. I think, Duncan, you had a child born in the hospital during-

He did, he did. I had a six month old and a family member had a stroke the first six weeks of Covid. And that was a different sort of challenge. But we all had things, weird things that happened during that period of time you'd love to forget. But to your point, Smug, there is that instinct to kind of bury it all because it was traumatic for so many people. I'm sure many of you have seen it.
