We've already had several super chats. We've already had several people making requests and asking questions. I love it. I really do appreciate it. I've talked with Alex about this off stream before. We're very thankful we're at a point now where the collection of Steves are not morons.

Let me rephrase, are not weirdos. There is a difference. And they're not weirdos. Both?
I'm thankful you're not both. If you're a little dumb, that's not your fault. If you're a weirdo, it's kind of your fault, especially online.

I said in chat also, everyone, this episode is going to be a lot, both in quantity and some of the things just involved. It's not even like a tragic week for the most part either. It's not like that like when Ozzy passed. It's more like, okay, we're all over the place and there's no small little things.

So, Steve, thank you for hanging out with us. I promise we're going to do our best to get through the bombardment of things going on. One, actually two things now because they're both related. We are going to say our quick condolences to two strong figures. Let me share my screen with my friend here. Share screen.

For those who are not aware, we lost some iconic people both directly in the music world and adjacent to the music world. Number one was a big one, 75 years old, Bonnie Tyler holding out for a hero, held out as long as she could, died at home and boy oh boy that is a loss.

**Alex** (2:42)
Big time. I dedicated Totally Eclipse of the Heart to her on one of my stories.

**Luke** (2:48)
Yeah. In May she would already been Russ. I'm reading about this now because some of this just going over the notes. In May she was already having a significant intestinal surgery and other things going on as well. Place an introduced coma. Yeah, it's end of life.
We think of these icons, we don't realize, oh yeah, they're in their 70s. That is the natural end of life.

Yeah, it's wild to be one thing that I always remember of like my parents was like, oh, so and so passed away. Oh, and it was like, they were always super upset. Now we're getting to that point where our people we looked up to, you know, oh, dang it, that person passed away. So it sucks. Yep.

I remember 10 years ago now, because it's 2026, when both David Bowie and Prince died.
And it's like, yeah, it's just all these celebrities, all these musicians, all these big figures are getting older. And they were significant circumstances for both of them, especially Prince, because nobody even are not Prince Doocy, David Bowie, because nobody even knew he was sick. But things like this, it sucks. But she left a legacy.

Absolutely.

**Luke** (3:53)
Along with that, a legacy in a different way, 102 years old. Mary Morello, mother of Tom Morello, she has been a true activist longer than most of our parents have been alive.

That's awesome.

**Luke** (4:09)
The things she has promoted and campaigned, she has run about free speech and also government overarching, fighting dictatorships, fighting oppression both in Chicago, in Illinois and throughout the country.
She has done from grassroots to big stage. She has done so much. If you're wondering why all those brains, all those thoughts come from Tom Morello and were expelled so perfectly into a band that defined a generation, sometimes the coolest mom really can't have that much of an impact.
