This episode is brought to you by HendrenAI.

Specialty Pharmacy teams are being asked to do more than ever before. Between patient outreach, refill coordination, prior authorizations, and the endless volume of phone calls, valuable clinical and operational time is often consumed by administrative work. At HendrenAI, we believe the people caring for patients should spend less time managing workflows and more time delivering meaningful outcomes. That's why we build AI-powered solutions designed specifically for specialty and infusion pharmacy organizations. Our platform helps automate repetitive phone-based and administrative processes, streamline operations, and improve the patient experience, while fitting into existing workflows.

HendrenAI is focused on a simple mission, turning human labor into software so health care organizations can scale more efficiently while keeping patients at the center of care. To learn more, visit Hendren.AI and discover how AI can help your team work smarter, not harder.

It's that time of year where the Pharmacy Podcast Network's founder and CEO, Todd Eury, lands where the hub of Specialty Pharmacy hosts their annual meeting, introducing the Spire 2026 Annual Expo. That's right, Specialty Pharmacy is evolving, and so is the name of its largest annual meeting. The NASP Annual Meeting and Expo got an upgrade. Innovation, networking, specialty pharmacy expertise, insights, research, and education come together to empower, educate, and connect our community.

Live in National Harbor, Maryland, tune in as Todd roams the showroom floor, bringing you the inside coverage of this year's event.

Jennifer Noonan is back, NASP podcast here at Inspire 2026 Jennifer, it's so good to see you.

Jennifer Noonan (2:34)

Good to see you too. And I'm having trouble remembering to say Inspire, but it'll be in place by next year.

Todd Eury (2:40)

All the new stuff, all the shifts.

I really like the fact that Sheila and the marketing team have separated the event from the organization so that they can put more flavor and marketing and messaging into what it means to come together as an organization. And we're inspiring not only each other, but we're inspiring the next phase of what's happening in specialty pharmacy. Part of that specialty pharmacy ecosystem, and I think the most difficult part of it, other than realizing that you have a pretty serious disease to handle, is the crushing fact of what this is gonna do to your finances as a family, as an individual. That's where Accessia Health comes in. In case the listener doesn't know about Accessia Health, that means they don't listen to our podcast, because you guys have been on several times. You're like one of these, the Saturday Night Live jacket wearers, that we should make a jacket that you get to wear if you're like a five time participant.

Jennifer Noonan (3:43)

Well, I do recall yesterday seeing the specialty pharmacy certification board has a suit that is embroidered with the SB, whatever the next initials are on their logo. It's kind of nice. But yeah, we've been here quite a few years. Thank you for helping introduce me to many folks in the specialty pharmacy realm. As you remember, I'm a nurse by trade and training, so this was a bit of a different ecosystem for me coming from hospital and health systems and then hospice.

But one of the things I believe, Accessia Health has done differently in the last few years. If you remember in 23, we revealed a different way of setting up our programming. We call it your assistance, your choice. This allows patients to get assistance in the same amount of their grant toward a multitude of things instead of having to apply for separate types of assistance. So, if someone is in a program for, say, pulmonary fibrosis and they need help with their co-payments, but additionally they're struggling with their premium payments, we can help with both or either of those items as is needed for that patient individually. And as you know, you probably have a different health insurance than I have. And you're out of pocket for one type of treatment might be incredibly different than mine. And so this allows our patients flexibility to have individualized care and not have to peel back even more layers of resources. If they're able to avoid those burdens, that's what we want to do. Because as you know, rare disease and chronic health conditions come with a lot of daily burdens already.
