The prosecution's case against Caleb Flynn arguably begins and ends with a phone call. At approximately 2:30 a.m., Caleb dialed 911 and reported that his wife Ashley had been shot. He told the dispatcher he had been sleeping in another room. He said he heard a single gunshot.

The 911 call.

Robin Dreeke (1:18)

This guy's kick-nutter, man.

Tony Brueski (1:20)

My goodness, we're going to get into this here. The high pitch, before we get into it, I just wanted to bring that up, the high pitch, because this is now two preachers in a week who we've been covering, John Paul and this guy, who when push comes to shove and the going gets tough, the tough get going.

Robin Dreeke (1:44)

Not everyone.

Tony Brueski (1:45)

What song is that, Todd? That's tough.

Robin Dreeke (1:46)

Romance in a Stone.

Tony Brueski (1:47)

When the going gets tough, the tough get going.

SPEAKER_4 (1:49)

Yeah, from Romance in a Stone.

Tony Brueski (1:51)

Billy Ocean. Billy Ocean, yes.

SPEAKER_4 (1:53)

Billy Ocean.

Robin Dreeke (1:53)

And this movie was Romance in a Stone.

Tony Brueski (1:55)

Romance in a Stone, yes.

SPEAKER_4 (1:56)

Okay, there we go. Look at that. Look at that. Two for one.

Tony Brueski (1:59)

So the fact that both of them, when they get in that hard place, they go to this. We're going to talk about that too, because I think it's interesting that both There's a trend. They have landed there. Yeah, it does seem to be a trend. So we're going to start with the 911 call. Like I said, your thoughts. Welcome in the comment section as we work our way through this. So here we go.

SPEAKER_4 (2:20)

Caleb Flynn, MiamiCounty 911

Caleb Flynn (2:23)

Oh, my gosh. Somebody, somebody broke into my home. Somebody broke into my home and killed my wife.

SPEAKER_4 (2:28)

Are they still in there?

Caleb Flynn (2:29)

I don't know. I don't know.

SPEAKER_4 (2:31)

What's the address?

Caleb Flynn (2:33)

932 County Ham Court, Ohio. Please, please hurry. Please, please hurry.

SPEAKER_4 (2:38)

What are you seeing?

Caleb Flynn (2:40)

My wife, she got two shots to her head. There's blood everywhere. Oh, my God. Oh, my God. Oh, my God. Sir, please, please, please.

SPEAKER_4 (2:49)

Ma'am, I need you to take a deep breath, OK?

Tony Brueski (2:52)

I got to stop there for a second.

Robin Dreeke (2:54)

Stop anywhere you want, man. Every moment is a treasure trove of stupid.

Tony Brueski (2:57)

Well, and there's the big treasure trove here. And this is one of those things that I think is going to completely sink him in the eyes of that jury, is he leaked out she's got two shots to the head right away. And we're going to keep listening to the call here, but what I found on this call is I don't think the 911 operator got that. I don't think he heard that part of the call. He also thinks it's a woman he's talking to.

Robin Dreeke (3:25)

And I'm also going to tease my second favorite thing after 911 call is the body cam footage inside the house from the officer that first responded because he said two shots to the head and Caleb does something during that video that says, ah, I wonder who might have done it.

Tony Brueski (3:43)

It's very telling. Yeah, there's a big tell that you caught on that last, yeah. I got a text from Robin late last night, like, oh my God. And like, oh my God, yeah.

Robin Dreeke (3:53)

Because I have absolutely nothing better to do than watch nutters on TV all day long.

Tony Brueski (3:58)

Two shots to the head. There's no way of knowing that. This is a mess. I'm not trying to be gross here, but you shoot somebody in the head, there's, the head kind of, you know, it doesn't end well. You can't necessarily, especially through the hair and all the medical people in this case have all said, we didn't know how many times she was shot. They had to get her into, you know, the autopsy to take a look at that into the medical examiner. There was no telling from just looking at her. So how would he know that she got two shots? I mean, the defense is going to say, well, he heard, he heard the two bullets. He heard the two gunshots. So that's how he knew.
