**Hammer** (0:12)
So you may have heard on the news a little bit earlier, Governor Mike Braun telling Senator Andy Zay to kick rocks.
**Nigel** (0:21)
Bye.
**Hammer** (0:22)
As the chair of the IURC, the Utility Regulatory Committee. After they were a part of AES, as the kids would say, giving us the shaft and raising rates.
**Nigel** (0:39)
I thought the IURC, this regulatory commission was to make sure that the utilities are providing reliable services at fair and reasonable rates. Right? That was the whole idea.
**Hammer** (0:52)
In theory, yes. In theory.
**Nigel** (0:56)
You're saying that might not be what was happening with the IURC?
**Hammer** (1:00)
Six months ago, Andy Zay, not to be confused with Tazan Zay of Chocolate Rain fame. Chocolate Rain.
Andy Zay takes the gig and everybody's talking tough. AES, no more rate hikes. Your service has not been very good. You're screwing the people over. It's probably a monopoly. Kiss our backside. No new rate hikes.
Six months later, narrator, AES raise the rates. Like, I'm an AES customer and I got the email. And I got to be honest, Nigel, I'm a little surprised I'm still on their mailing list because nobody hates these buttholes more than I do. As I've said, you can't spell outages without AES. Yet they still sent me an email going, Hey, numbnuts, what are you going to do about it? We're jacking up your rates.
**Nigel** (1:51)
There was a one time a couple of years ago, there was a strong gust of wind. You were without power for three days. And then they send you the email. Oh, by the way, sorry about that. And we're raising your rates.
**Hammer** (2:01)
And if you remember, we had their communications chick on this show and she had put out a social media post like the day before her sitting poolside on her phone with power listening to the radio. I've got some work to do by the pool today.
You're the AES chick and all of us are sitting around and squalor. We don't have the single light on in our house. And you're posting on social media. Well, I'm working from the pool today. Sucks to be you guys.
**Nigel** (2:31)
Something called optics there.
**Hammer** (2:33)
Exactly.
**Nigel** (2:34)
Bad optics.
**Hammer** (2:36)
So this was the tweet that Governor Braun put out, quote, effective immediately.
I'm naming Anthony Swinger, the new chairman of the Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission. Affordability is my top priority, and I am confident Chairman Swinger will deliver on that priority for Hoosiers. So that was the tweet.
**Nigel** (2:55)
That's a start, right?
**Hammer** (2:57)
It's a start. But you know what? There were three Republicans that voted for AES to screw us again.
**Nigel** (3:04)
Is that right?
**Hammer** (3:05)
Don't just replace Taysondae, go ahead and replace all of these buttholes that decided to give the two thumbs up to rate hikes.
Fire everyone, burn it to the ground. Don't stop there. Like there was a point in my time in my life, Nigel, where I'd feel bad if somebody lost the job.
**Nigel** (3:24)
Not anymore?
**Hammer** (3:25)
No, because you and I have been fired before. It's the industry that we work in. When you work in radio or TV, you're like a coach in sports. You're hired to be fired. You know what the end game is probably going to be someday.
So nobody cared about me when I lost my gig. So I'm having a hard time bringing the tears to my cheeks for Tay Zonday, Andy Zay, whatever the hell his name is. And I feel like the other butt sniffers need to go too.
**Nigel** (3:52)
Okay. Yeah, you got, you got the shout from the Obamacare, right?
**Hammer** (3:57)
Oh yeah.
**Nigel** (3:58)
If you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor.
**Hammer** (4:00)
You just can't keep your job.
If you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor. Now, in reality, you can't keep your doctor or your job. Obamacare.
And as for AES, these no good pirates are raising their rates for the quote unquote service that they've provided Central Indy. It's kind of like the Cleveland Browns increasing their season ticket prices based off all the success that they've had. It's like Paulie Shore demanding $50 million a movie for all of the box office success that he's had. It's kind of like increasing the concert ticket prices for the Dixie Chips.
**Nigel** (4:44)
Oh, bad idea.
**Hammer** (4:46)
Or they're just known as the Chicks now because their lead singer is that fat little mean one that looks like John Daly. Imagine them jacking up the rates.
**Nigel** (4:54)
Are you talking about Natalie Maines who called the president fugly?
