Happy Friday, and welcome to The WAN Show. Oh, because of the grass and the fire, and just like the vibe of it?

Luke Lafreniere (0:08)

Yeah.

Linus Sebastian (0:09)

Yeah, we could have a more chill vibe.

I don't know if it should be brought to you by a certain DJ or anything like that. You know what? No, let's still be WAN Show.

SPEAKER_3 (0:19)

I think WAN Show is best. Fair enough.

Linus Sebastian (0:21)

We've got a fantastic show lined up for you guys today. The Steam Frame is available-ish.

Now, we have lots of thoughts about the Steam Frame. I also brought our Steam Frame.

Luke Lafreniere (0:32)

I was going to say, because I don't necessarily have many.

Linus Sebastian (0:34)

TwoSet.

Luke Lafreniere (0:35)

But I will.

Linus Sebastian (0:36)

You can see it. I'll have some. Something I have a lot of thoughts on though, that I have not shown you guys yet, because obviously we published our review of the Steam Frame, is Colton and I have started The Great Swappening.

He's driving my car and I'm not driving any car. I have been experiencing Tesla's branding for it, as full self-driving, but of course it is their very advanced level two driver assist system over the course of the week, and I've definitely got some thoughts to share about that.

Luke Lafreniere (1:13)

Yeah, I did even worse than normal. I didn't prep literally anything. An Amazon data center was struck by Iran and there was a permanent loss of customer data.

Linus Sebastian (1:26)

Yeah, I think there's a conversation to be had in there around the cloud and how we just trust it.

SPEAKER_3 (1:34)

Yeah.

Linus Sebastian (1:34)

Yeah. Or maybe we shouldn't?

Luke Lafreniere (1:38)

What else in here?

SPEAKER_3 (1:40)

Oh no.

Luke Lafreniere (1:42)

Oh yeah, I'm gonna talk about this.

We're getting a new Diablo and StarCraft game. They're still years away from release, and we got an expansion for Warcraft 3

Linus Sebastian (1:52)

After all these years.

Luke Lafreniere (1:54)

I think, this part I'm only think, because I didn't actually watch this part of the presentation, but I think we got an expansion for Diablo 2

And there's a Witcher 3 expansion coming. And there's like a Final Fantasy 7 expansion coming.

Linus Sebastian (2:09)

Everything old is new.

Luke Lafreniere (2:11)

What? Not D2. Okay.

Linus Sebastian (2:30)

The show is brought to you today by Proton, Corsair, ThreatLocker, and Beter, along with our RAP partner Dbrand, our laptop partner Dell, and our chair partner Razer. Let's jump right into our headline topic here, which is I have been driving a Hardware 4 Model 3 And I gotta say, other than the one time that it almost plowed me into a car, I'm kind of blown away.

Now, my expectations were obviously going to be higher than the Comma AI, because the Comma AI was running on essentially a glorified Note 9 And it just kind of bolts into any old car, even ones that are not designed with enough motor power to fully steer. Like it's mostly just, it's better lane keep assist, right? Powered by AI and machine vision, right? Whereas Tesla for over 10 years now, I guess, has been trying to get to full autonomous driving with these cars. So, you know, obviously things that are solved problems, like, oh, we should probably have a motor moving the steering wheel that can, has enough torque to, like that we've had for a long time. It's just been figuring out the machine vision side of it in order to properly navigate the physical world with those motors. And there are some elements of it that, man, I got to say, you know, like Tesla, don't like Tesla, whatever you feel about their leadership.

We did a lunch outing. We were shooting an AMD Ultimate Tech upgrade. And so we all piled into the car because I was like, hey, who here has tried?

I hate the branding for it because it does full self drive. But it's not certified. It's not validated Tesla doesn't publish proper time between disengagements and safety records. They're not doing the work that they need to do to make it full self driving in an official capacity. But they call it that, which has been a huge part of my objection to their approach over the years. I think it's really dangerous to brand things something that they are not. Like if you had a pill that was like, you know, fix your erection pill and 99% of the time it fixes your erection. And then other times, maybe it causes your erection to plow into another erection. Like, you know what I mean? Like if it, if it, you get where I'm going with this, right?
