It's October 7th, from the locker room to your ears. This is New York Rangers News Today, powered by AI. I'm Corey with the story. Alright, big news out of New York. Igor Shesterkin is back and showing why he's a top goalie in the NHL.

Last season was rough for the Rangers without him, but now he's leading the league right off the bat with 3 wins and 4 games. Shesterkin's already put up some impressive numbers, making 88 saves, which tops the charts. You know, that's exactly what the Rangers need as they try to find their groove early this season. Also, his ice time of 239 minutes and 1 goal point shares is leading the way too.

It's clear he's in elite form, riding a 3 game win streak and keeping his goals against low.

That kind of consistency is essential for a team looking to make a playoff push. New York's defense is stepping up as well, but Shesterkin's presence is huge. He's not just stopping pucks, he's also getting involved offensively, even scoring and assisting this season. A goalie contributing like that? Talk about bringing energy to the team. So yeah, Shesterkin's play will be key as the Rangers move forward. If he keeps this up, they could really contend for a deep playoff run. Exciting times ahead in the Big Apple.
