Taking down the $100,000 first prize in the FFPC Superflex Contest. That's what we're doing today on Stealing Bananas. I'm Ben Gretch. You can find the Stealing Signals newsletter at bengretsch.substack.com. Started my deep dives into all of the league's teams. Last week, got a few of the first four or six out of the off-season Stealing Signals project with me, as always, is Shawn Siegele. You can find all of his great work over at RotoViz. We did end up recording last week. We did a marathon stream, Shawn, a couple of weeks ago. Last week, we got on, we started talking. We always talk about how we get on when we start talking. We usually wind up recording. It's very rare that we get on and start talking. Then actually, we're just like, we've been talking so long, we're just not going to do a show. But we got on last week, we didn't really have a good show idea because our show the week prior was so long and so involved.
We did end up chatting for like three.

**Shawn Siegele** (1:01)
We had some ideas, but we burned the day.

**Ben Gretch** (1:04)
We burned the day just chatting about all sorts of good stuff. We were quicker to get going today and we're going to do a draft today. We got the 101 in the Superflex draft. It's going to start in one minute.
So we will walk you through it as we're drafting. But how are you doing? And yeah, we're up. We're almost up.

**SPEAKER_1** (1:30)
Good, good.

I just got the massive Dynasty piece that I've been working on for about a month out right before we started recording today. So between the Big Gorilla Blueprint and the Dynasty Workshop, Better Than a Superteam, How the Permanent Championship Window Amplifies Your Single Season Success, Ben, 32,000 plus words in the title.
Closer than the title overall, it was a wonderful experience to spend all of those hours writing about fantasy football.
Yeah, let's win the Superflex contest here. $100,000.
One of the things that I felt good about from last year is that we have such a good roster and a good construction explorer for this event. I think if you're playing a lot in this, you should use it. The sub will pay back very quickly with it. The big strategy piece that I wrote last season for it obviously included some things that didn't turn out to be the case because every season is different. And yet, the idea that you want to focus on getting those running backs and side receivers in a balanced way that you can wait on QB. That turned out to be so much of the case last year that in the Superflex format, QBs are actually falling. Now, Josh Allen does go one, and we had discussed it for a minute or two before we started. We were comfortable going away from that. We selected Jameer Gibbs. I always like to build these teams, build teams that you can't get in regular, any other type of contest, because you don't have quarterbacks pushing the guys down to you. Not only will it be interesting to see what we can do at 2-3, but also 4-5. There are good QBs that come to the 2-3 turn. There are good QBs that come to the 4-5 turn. If you wait for the 4-5 turn, it does get a little bit messier, and if you somehow convince yourself to wait beyond that, obviously it will be increasingly challenging. I think it will be fascinating to see how this draft develops. The first 6 picks obviously here have the 2 Running Back Superstars, the 2 QB Superstars, the 2 Wide Receiver Superstars. It's a fun start.

I got to go back to this Dynasty piece you mentioned. I clicked on it. I hadn't seen it yet. You said 32,000 words.

**Shawn Siegele** (4:06)
I was like, that's... For that and the Big Gorilla combined.

**Ben Gretch** (4:10)
Well, your Dynasty piece, I scrolled through it to see what was going on there.
Shawn, you are a liberal footnote user. Did you realize you had 39 footnotes in this week?

**Shawn Siegele** (4:24)
39 It may be a new record.

**Ben Gretch** (4:27)
39 footnotes. This isn't an article that you've been working on for a month. This is a Dynasty guide. You could have sold this as a one-off piece. This is a book. It's obscene.
But it's obviously fantastic. I'm sure people will love reading through that. Just skip the section on mine and Shawn's team.

**Shawn Siegele** (4:51)
Ben, you need to check that one out. There were some very positive notes. We got the trade calculator out that Jesse put together. It's fantastic. It lets you pull in your FFPC leagues and look at how you fit either by the RotoViz rankings or what's implied by current 2026 best ball ADP about how your team will perform this year.
