Are you sick and tired of chasing leads to get more work? Do you come across songs you worked on a year ago only to see it has 5 million streams… and you weren’t credited?

Brian Hood is wearing a gray sweatshirt and is a massive headphone slut.

Christopher J. Graham, how are you doing today, man?

Christopher J. Graham (0:36)

I got a boon to pick with you, Brian Hood. You were just talking crap about headphones.

Brian Hood (0:41)

A boon to pick?

Christopher J. Graham (0:41)

A bone to pick. Yes.

Brian Hood (0:43)

Yeah, I talk crap about headphones because I don't care about headphones, man.

Christopher J. Graham (0:47)

Why?

Brian Hood (0:47)

We've talked about this so many times in the podcast, and we're not going to get into it today because no one gives a shit. And if they do give a shit, then they've already heard this before.

I just don't care. It is not a thing that affects my life. I listen to normal iPhone headphones 95% of the time. The other 5% is when I'm on this podcast on my $17 Amazon headphones. So it doesn't matter to me, man.

Christopher J. Graham (1:14)

I'm going to recruit our audience. We're going to get you addicted to high quality headphones.

Brian Hood (1:19)

We've already done a call to our audience. You were trying to get people to send me free headphones, and I never got them.

Christopher J. Graham (1:25)

I'm working on it, OK? I'm working on it. Stay tuned on that.

Brian, how are you today, sir?

Brian Hood (1:32)

I'm doing good, man. We planned our show out, and we were like, what can I talk about that's new in my life that I should share with the audience today? And I realized nothing.

Nothing at all, man.

Christopher J. Graham (1:43)

How fascinating.

Brian Hood (1:45)

Yeah, I'm not a very interesting person, despite what you may think.

Christopher J. Graham (1:49)

That's pretty funny.

Brian Hood (1:51)

Yeah. What about you, my dude?

Christopher J. Graham (1:53)

Well, it was my oldest son's birthday earlier this week. He turned nine, and we had a blast. But one of the things we did that was so cool is we went to the Apple Store, and we took a coding class together.

What? And it was so fun. And we bought him this little robot. It's got a sphero. And you can write this really simple computer code to program this little ball to roll around and follow instructions. Nerd stuff.

We get to be nerds together.

Brian Hood (2:22)

Super nerdy, but I'll be honest, I would have been totally into that.

Christopher J. Graham (2:24)

It was awesome.

Brian Hood (2:24)

I feel like as a young child, yeah. What is he, nine, you said?

Christopher J. Graham (2:27)

He just turned nine, yeah. It was a blast.

Brian Hood (2:30)

That's pretty sick, man.

Christopher J. Graham (2:31)

Indeed. Well, I saw something the other day that I wanted to talk to you about. I shared it in the 6 Figure Home Studio community.

It was a YouTube video that was an interview with this guy, Phineas. Phineas is the brother of Billie Eilish, and he produced all of Billie Eilish's songs. If you don't know who she is, she's the hottest thing in pop music right now. She's 17

Brian Hood (2:55)

I've heard you mention her name multiple times as an example.

And then you were like, do you know who that is? I'm like, I have no idea who that is. And you're like, she's the biggest thing on radio. And I was like, well, that makes perfect sense, because I don't listen to the radio. And I haven't had a... When I first bought my Honda Pilot in 2010, I took the radio out. We put a CD player, Bluetooth, whatever in, and I have not had a radio in my car since. So I couldn't listen to the radio if I wanted to, not that I even want to.

Christopher J. Graham (3:25)

That's amazing. Well, let's talk about Billy here real quick.

So there were two videos. One of them was Phineas...

Brian Hood (3:32)

No, just to stop you here, there was a point to this, right?

Christopher J. Graham (3:34)

Yes, totally, totally, 100%.

Brian Hood (3:36)

Yeah, I think this goes over the episode today.

Christopher J. Graham (3:37)

It is. I'm attempting to do a graceful segue from banter into our actual episode.

Brian Hood (3:42)

I cannot wait to hear this graceful banter. Just for the record here, this is week two of unedited episodes from Chris and Brian. So if we talk over each other, or flib or flab or say weird stuff, or say weird shit like flib or flab, it doesn't get edited out because James is out of the country. He's in Germany right now, and he's off the grid, our podcast editor. So instead of hiring someone else to take over for a couple of weeks, we're just like, you know what?
