One sweet melty bite of a Hershey's bar, and suddenly, I'm right back sitting on the front porch with my grandmother on a slow summer afternoon. She doesn't say much, just breaks the bar in half and hands me a piece. I open my mouth to say whatever a nine-year-old wants to say, and she replies with a low, shh, listen.
So we sat there, listening. That was the first time I learned that quiet can feel full.

Welcome to The Megyn Kelly Show, live on SiriusXM Channel 111 every weekday at noon East.
Hey everyone, I'm Megyn Kelly. Welcome to The Megyn Kelly Show. The story I want to start with, Debbie Murphy says we can't.
She says we can't.
Steve Kracauer and Debbie Murphy, he's my executive producer, she EPs News. They say we have to start with the election results. So I guess I will, because I love my team. My team generally knows what's best, but I just want you to know, I have a different favorite story and it's coming up right after we get through this.
We should tell you the actual news. There hasn't been that much news lately. Today there is some news. The electoral results are in and the Democrat Party's a little afraid to go too full socialist. They expressed some consternation about going hardcore socialist in a couple of races, which was disappointing for Republicans who thought the truly nutcase candidates could be more easily defeated, like that weird lady in Wisconsin who wanted to be governor and get rid of Thanksgiving. Remember? By the way, as I was coming to air, remember her name is Francesca Hong. She was talking about how her son, I guess she's Korean. And the son is Korean and half white. And she was talking about how that son of hers, her 10 year old, has allowed her to have a proximity to whiteness. And you know, I guess she's just been shocked by the privilege associated with it. She brought her son with her to vote yesterday. He looks totally Korean. He doesn't look white at all. So I don't know what she's talking about. I'm not sure.
I'm not sure she did have the proximity to whiteness experience among her many, many other problems. This woman's such a mess. She was polling allegedly 22, 30 points ahead. No, she lost. It was close, but she lost. She lost to a more moderate guy, supposedly. But I mean, everyone's more moderate than this nutcase Hong.
Yeah, she was taken down by the establishment-backed Milwaukee County executive David Crawley. It was a stunning upset because everybody had her way up, including the betting markets, up at least 18 points in the final five public polls.
Now, some of the left are trying to blame her loss on Bernie Sanders and AOC because they didn't endorse Hong. We're seeing some say, what the hell is she tweeting about her stupid fertility treatments instead of endorsing someone from the DSA whose politics are aligned with AOCs? Hmm, yeah, they certainly have been in the same way that these two supported Abdul El-Sayed in Michigan in the Democrat primary there for Senate. But why didn't they? She was a bridge too far. Now, they're pissed at those two. But, I mean, can we really say it was AOC's fault? I really think you come out against Thanksgiving. It's kind of over between you and the American people. She also had problems with Christmas. Like, who wants to elect such a curmudgeon, stick-in-the-mud, killjoy, buzzkill, to hire office? Wisconsin is not California. You know, it's still a swing state.
So I just think the shock was that she was polling ahead for so long. The shock is not that she lost. And now this guy Crowley will face the Trump Act candidate, Tom Tiffany, in November in The General.
His campaign is saying, oh, there's not a dime's bit of difference between the two of them. I mean, I see it. It's a good point. There is a dime's worth, maybe not a quarter's worth. But here to react to this and a lot more is Emily Jashinsky. She's a Wisconsin native, people. More proof that Wisconsin is not California. California would never produce an Emily Jashinsky. She's also a host of After Party on the MK Media Podcast Network. You can go and find that on YouTube and all podcast platforms and do it. Because if you're missing After Party, you're missing a lot of fun with EJ. She also hosts our MK Wrap Up Show right after this show on SiriusXM Channel 111 Live every day at 2 p.m. When you sign your insurance policy for some brokers, that's the finish line. Bye.
