So, you're not worried about hosting the whole family for the holidays? Why would I be?

SPEAKER_2 (0:03)

Wayfair had everything I needed to get the house holiday ready.

SPEAKER_1 (0:06)

What if Mike brings his cheerful dogs? My tree has tons of five-star reviews telling me how sturdy it is. But what if everyone's plus one brings a plus one? We'll see how extendable this extendable table really is.

Maurice (0:17)

And extra chairs are on the way.

SPEAKER_1 (0:19)

Okay, what if there's a blizzard and everyone has to sleep over? Ready to go with extra bedding and towels. From guest-ready essentials to holiday decor you can trust, Wayfair delivers.

Jason Whitlock (0:30)

Yeah, tough, tough night for me.

Tough sleep, tough everything.

A'ja Wilson and the Las Vegas Aces, they beat the Indiana Fever fair and square. There's gonna be a lot of people today talking about the refereeing and A'ja Wilson's special whistle. It wasn't about that. A'ja Wilson's got a special jump shot and she's unstoppable and the fever don't have an answer, but the fever still could have beat them because the fever were playing the right way. And if I had to, and this is difficult for me to say, but cause I'm disappointed about everything. I haven't rooted that hard for a team in a long time, but hey man, Kelsey Mitchell missed shots that I'm just not used to seeing her miss. I've been watching this woman for three years and she's been efficient. And then this season she's been historically efficient shooting the ball. And last night, man, I don't know. She couldn't have thrown a nickel into the ocean and has a point blank five, six, seven footer to tie the game at 82, misses that, missed the layup. I believe in the first half, it's just missed everything. It's not that Caitlin Clark was great, but I was just shocked at how efficient Kelsey Mitchell been all season. And then last night it all goes away. And so if the Indiana Fever, if Caitlin Clark and Kelsey Mitchell make shots, and they don't got to make a high percentage, but just a normal bad night percentage, the Fever win that game. Instead we lost or they lost by 11 points and I'm a heartbroken. I know Maurice is probably more heartbroken than even I am. I think the audience probably thinks Charles is quietly celebrating. Scaff is quietly, Scaff's, what do you got a big smile on your face for Scaff?

Charles (2:32)

Well, ain't nothing proud about what Scaff's doing.

Jason Whitlock (2:34)

Yeah, I mean, this is a very difficult night. Respect me and Maurice and Ock, and particularly Maurice and Ock for what we're going through. Maurice, what did you see?

Who do you blame? What happened?

Maurice (2:49)

Well, you know, I slept in my funeral suit as the season died.

Shout out to Dre for mailing me this suit for the funeral. And it was sad to see it come to an end.

There's a lot of things that we're going to get to, but I want to start here with accountability.

I come on here and I stand ten toes down as Caitlin Clark is the best that ever did it and got away with it. And I'm not backing down, but Caitlin Clark did not play at the level that she needed to play at last night. Neither did Kelsey Mitchell. Charles and I have has come on this show all throughout the season and said the only way the Indiana Fever win games is when this back court erupts and you have to get 50 plus out of this back court to be competitive in these games, not to win for them to be competitive. The one game they won, the back court went off. The two games they lost, their back court was outplayed.

You could not win games and play the Aces back court to a draw. You had to dominate their back court because of what A'ja Wilson was going to do.

Um, there's Amber, I mean, the roster construction. We can get to all of that. This is a roster that has pimples all over the face and they had some very expensive makeup in the back court to cover up all of their blemishes throughout the season. And it was Caitlin Clark and Kelsey Mitchell erupting, putting up back court numbers that we had never seen. Kelsey Mitchell shooting at an efficiency clip that we've never seen from a guard. And in last night, they were not able to deliver the goods. Now, I will say, as bad as they were, I know y'all gonna say it don't matter, the officials was worse. How many come on? This is the second game in this series where two players on the Aces shoot more free throws than the entire Indiana Fever team again. I don't think it's a coincidence. I think it's ridiculous. Caitlin Clark actually kind of called it out in the post game. Not sure if you saw that. But Indiana Fever did have their opportunities. They did not capitalize. Last thing. Sorry, I'm going long. Monique Billings. I never want to see that lady on a basketball floor again. She is awful. She is. I would not pick her up to play on a team in a local YMCA with eighth grade girls. The lady can barely walk and chew gum without falling. She's horrible. The fact that she's getting $1.6 million over two years to play basketball is robbery without a mask. She ought to be locked up. And Amber Cox, you ought to be locked up for giving her to check. Stephanie White. Fireball offense that you watch what that lady did in the first half and you put her in in the fourth quarter. Becky Hammond starts the fourth quarter with all her best players on the floor. We start the fourth quarter down five with two of our best three players sitting on the bench. Insanity. Go ahead, guys.
