As we celebrate America's 250th birthday this year, I'd like to ask you a question. How much of the beef on America's grills actually come from America? The answer is probably gonna surprise you. More than 85% of the grass-fed beef sold in grocery stores is not from America. 85, that's not good.
One of the reasons I like good ranchers is because of that number. They partner with local farmers and ranchers to deliver 100% American meat straight to your door. No imported mystery meat, just high-quality American beef, chicken, pork, and seafood raised right here.
I love what they're doing, bridging the gap between American families and American farms. This July, Good Ranchers is celebrating all 50 states with $50 off anything on their site. From the Mountain West, much of it seems to be on fire today. And we are glad to be here. I'm also, my ranch is up in Idaho. We're just a couple of hours away from the In-N-Out where there was a shooting this weekend. There's been a lot of news this weekend. We're going to start with the shooting, and we'll do that in 60 seconds. First, let me tell you about Super Sure. You know, you don't want to find out whether your business insurance coverage is actually right, you know? When things are going well, you don't really need to know. Fine, it's going well. You don't want to find out when something goes wrong. That's a terrible time to discover that there was a gap that you didn't know about, or that you assumed something was covered when it wasn't, or that the policy you bought years ago doesn't really match the business that you've become today. That's why I like Super Sure. They don't just hand you a policy and send you on your way. They take the time to understand your business, help you find the right coverage, and give you one person to call if you ever have questions or need, you know, any kind of help with a claim. Because if a bad situation ever comes, you don't want to be running everything on your business just on a feeling. You know, I think it's okay. Right now, go to supersure.com/beck. You get a full report on your current policies, no obligation. Find out if you're overinsured or underinsured or somewhere in between. Go to supersure.com/beck. One super agency, one powerful platform, and all your policies in one place. supersure.com/beck. Brought to you by supersure insurance agency, LLC, a licensed insurance agency.
So it's Saturday afternoon, Twins Fall, Idaho. Very small little town, great town. It's 2.3 in the afternoon. Jordan Salinas and his girlfriend are sitting in the drive-thru at the In-N-Out on Blue Lakes Boulevard. Their plan is just let's have some lunch, then we'll maybe go ride some horses. And that's when people start running. They thought at first it was a kitchen fire. That's what the mind does. It reaches for the ordinary explanation first. Because the ordinary explanation is almost always the right one. Employees are coming running out the doors. People are crossing the road in a dead sprint. Kitchen fire has to be. Then pop, pop, pop, pop. He gets out of the car. He says it was automatic, mechanical. The only thing he remembers from those seconds is his girlfriend saying, don't, don't, what, what, honey. Out in that lot was a 24-year-old man with a rifle. He had already fired into the restaurant. He was firing at cars, a cab driver was charging his Tesla in the parking lot, got hit. A man named Lane was just sitting at the stoplight, watching the bullets go into the car directly in front of him. And then the bullets started going the other direction, a pistol from the drive-thru line. And then somewhere else in the same lot, an off-duty Idaho state police trooper doing exactly the same thing.
He didn't like it when bullets started firing both ways, at least Salinas didn't. He turned away from the restaurant, moved into the open parking lot, and killed himself.
Cohn said the shooter was focused on the man shooting back at him. And that's what let everybody else get out. But three people still died. Seven were wounded. Two of them are critical condition. One of the dead worked at the counter, in a building that had just been opened for nine days.
