SPEAKER_1 (0:01)
It's The Hammer and Nigel Weekend Show on 93WIBC.
Nigel (0:07)
My name is Nigel Jason Hammer-Wright over there. Let's dive into some headlines here, right at home. Let's do some good old fashioned. Indiana stuff.
SPEAKER_3 (0:20)
Tenderloins, Euker, Basketball, Indiana stuff.
Hammer (0:29)
From the people that bring you legal stuff, it's Indiana stuff.
And I've said it from day one. We are not a public transportation city. No matter how much your Democrats on the council, your elected officials want this to become a public transportation city. It's like the word fetch in Mean Girls. Fetch is not going to happen, and Indy is not a public transportation city. A new study from the Consumer Affairs Office says that Indianapolis public transportation is among one of the worst in all of the United States.
SPEAKER_3 (1:17)
There we go.
Nigel (1:21)
That's so depressing.
Hammer (1:23)
We're the worst. We're the worst.
Nigel (1:26)
That is so sad.
Hammer (1:29)
In the study, Consumer Affairs ranked public transportation amenities in the 50 largest urban areas in the United States. Indy comes in at number 47 out of 50
Nigel (1:46)
Man.
Hammer (1:46)
So there's a couple worse than Indy, but not many. Now, this wrong.
Nigel (1:51)
What's wrong with the red line? Come on.
Hammer (1:55)
And the purple line. To answer your question, nobody needs it. Consumer Affairs used a weighted point system to create the rankings. They collected data in a bunch of major categories, usefulness, accessibility, and affordability, along with operational safety. And the data shows that Indy struggles, and I mean struggles, with the following categories, Nigel. Public transit boardings per resident. Fancy talk? Nobody gets on these things. Public transit passenger miles per resident.
That's fancy talk for nobody gets on these things. Share of transit stations that are compliant with ADA requirements. That's fancy talk for Joe Hogsett and your city council Democrats have their head up their ass.
Collisions and fires per million vehicles and miles traveled while in service. Yeah, there's been a bunch of these red lines that have crashed or caught fire. People killed or injured in major transit safety or security events per million vehicles or miles traveled.
Nigel (3:20)
The things you just rattled off are factors in the public transportation of Indianapolis being ranked 47th out of 50 states.
Hammer (3:31)
That's so to summarize all of this, if you were to put all this data into like ChatGPT, it would tell you nobody's writing these things. And when they do write them, there's a pretty good chance something bad is going to happen.
Well, that's not good. That's not good.
Nigel (3:49)
I wonder, I would love to see the stats on the IndyGo buses as opposed to the red line and the what was it? What's the other one?
SPEAKER_5 (3:59)
The purple line, the blue line?
Nigel (4:01)
Yes. I do feel like I see people on the IndyGo buses.
I don't see...
Hammer (4:07)
Now, are they drug dealers or homeless people?
Nigel (4:09)
Oh, stop it.
Hammer (4:10)
Because I see an awful lot of those.
Nigel (4:12)
Didn't you have a bad experience going on a red line or going past a red line or something?
Hammer (4:17)
Driving past one, yeah. Driving past one, I saw a couple of homeless people having sex.
Nigel (4:24)
If you weren't even on the red line, you were just driving past it and you had a bad experience.
Hammer (4:29)
On Raymond Street, going from the southwest side to Beach Grove, Indiana, on Raymond, there's like a red line station there. And there were some bums and or drug dealers going at it, baby.
Nigel (4:45)
Well, I hope they were using protection.
Hammer (4:48)
Please, we don't want those moron degenerates to reproduce. Consumer Affairs gathered its data from Federal Transit Administration. So the reason this is important, if you live in Indianapolis or even Marion County, Beach Grove, Speedway, Lawrence, if you're in Marion County, think about this. Think about how much money, how much of your tax dollars are being spent on the red line, the purple line, pushing Indy to be public transportation. And then think about the road conditions that we have, the bridge conditions that we have, all of the construction. Could the construction be faster if we had more money to pay more crew members? Look at the discrepancy of money spent for the red line, the blue line, the orange, the purple, the magenta, the fusion line, and whatever the hell these Democrats want to do, it's wasted cash, all the wasted money in Marion County, whether it's on the red line, glow in the dark trails, but they just jacked up your taxes on your registration, on your wheel tax, 400%.
