And what many are saying was the widest moment in radio history yesterday.
We had a good old-fashioned beatboxing segment. It's The Hammer and Nigel Show. I'm Jason Hammer. Big Nige, radio legend. Nigel is here. Many of you grew up listening to the legend that is right next to me.

**Nigel** (0:32)

Producer Allison, Matt Baer. They're all in the house today.
Jared Lewis is around here somewhere. And yesterday we had a story about everybody on social media losing their minds over somebody that was doing sound effects with their mouth. It was a quote unquote beatboxing expert, but they were doing these weird sounds with their mouth.

**Nigel** (0:58)
Sound like the guy from Police Academy.

**Jason Hammer** (1:00)
Kind of. Here, let's play you the clip. This is the clip from yesterday where, for whatever reason, like social media is freaking out because all of the audio you're about to hear is from this guy's mouth.

**Nigel** (1:30)
I think it's impressive. Pretty good, I mean.

**Jason Hammer** (1:34)
But is that what you think of when you think of beatboxing?

**Nigel** (1:40)
No.

**Jason Hammer** (1:41)
See, that's the thing, right? It's impressive, but it's not, to me, the textbook beatboxing.

**Nigel** (1:48)
That's Larvel Jones from Police Academy to me. That's not the fat boy's human beatbox in any way, shape or form.

**Jason Hammer** (1:55)
Nigel is a pro. He is. This is a nige yesterday doing his human beatbox.
Pretty damn good. I think that was more impressive than what this guy on, you know, Twitter and YouTube is doing, where everybody is, you know, like freaking out. But then we kind of went around the horn. Um, this was my beatboxing.

This was laughing like a monkey in the background.

Boots and cats and boots and cats and boots and cats and boots and cats.

But then, honestly, off the top rope. And I did not see this coming. Like jumping off like the macho man used to do with that flying elbow. News anchor Jarrett Lewis was very coy, acted like he didn't want to do the beatboxing. And then he broke this out.
All right. Let's go, Jarrett Lewis. That's pretty strong, right?

The reverb going there and everything.

**Jason Hammer** (3:09)
Everything. It was almost like when Ron Burgundy was like, Oh, I'm not ready for this. And he pulls out the jazz flute from underneath of the sleeve. That's what Jarrett Lewis did to us yesterday on the beatbox. I think he'd been waiting for that moment. So here's the update. I've taken all of those samples provided from the Hammer and Nigel Show Beatboxers, and I took a classic hip hop song, Super Sonic by JJ Fad, where there's a lot of beatboxing in it.
