What do you feel like insurance agents need to do in terms of branding themselves, their agencies, the carriers they represent?
**Bradley Flowers** (0:08)
When you are marketing something you're not in control of, you're not in control.
**Scott Howell** (0:13)
The very last thing I do, I get agreement from them, and then I end the call with making damn sure whatever I say I'm going to do gets done.
**Bradley Flowers** (0:25)
How many hours did your team spend last week on policy reviews? Quote comparisons? Lost run extractions? Now multiply that by what your producers cost per hour. That's the number that out market eliminates. The reason that I love Ascend is they are the only vendor focused on helping agents automate all of their manual finances and accounting practices, which is really the boring stuff, but that's really where the rubber meets the road in terms of profitability to your agency.
**Scott Howell** (0:51)
You know, we're going to write business with carriers that make it easy for us to write business with.
**Bradley Flowers** (0:57)
If the conditions have to be right for you to succeed, your success is conditional. It's not real success.
**Scott Howell** (1:03)
Play like champions, man. Here we go.

He is a fantastic insurance agent and a great American. Ladies and gentlemen, please put your hands together and welcome my friend, Mr. Bradley Flowers. How are you, Bradley?
**Bradley Flowers** (1:50)
I'm very good. So I'm a little bit self-conscious about this, and I'm just running into the storm, okay?
So, you know, I was out on paternity leave for the whole month of June, and I got a little bored, so I had to do something with my hands. So I have, you remember how you had me try the closet wine? Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. So I have started procuring, and you're going to make fun of me, I know, procuring and roasting my own coffee beans.
**Scott Howell** (2:16)
Seriously?
**Bradley Flowers** (2:17)
And making my own coffee.
**Scott Howell** (2:18)
Cool.
**Bradley Flowers** (2:19)
And it would be my honor.
I'm so embarrassed. It would be my honor if you're the first person to try it.
**Scott Howell** (2:25)
Please. All right. All right.
**Bradley Flowers** (2:27)
So this is a good-
**Scott Howell** (2:29)
Now you're being serious. You're like giving me something.
**Bradley Flowers** (2:32)
It's not got X likes in it or anything. Okay. Let's just cheers.
**Scott Howell** (2:35)
Cheers.
**Bradley Flowers** (2:35)
You're the first person to try it. Laurel hadn't even had it. All right.
**Scott Howell** (2:38)
Let's see.
**Bradley Flowers** (2:39)
I want you to be honest with me. I will.
**Scott Howell** (2:41)
Smells delicious. Does?
Yeah, it tastes fantastic.
**Bradley Flowers** (2:51)
You don't have to lie. I know it tastes terrible.
**Scott Howell** (2:53)
No, it doesn't. It tastes good. I like it. I like it. I really do. Why?
What are you laughing about?
**Bradley Flowers** (2:58)
I didn't make that. It tastes awful. Let the record show that Scott doesn't have a good palate for coffee.
**Scott Howell** (3:08)
No, I think it tastes fine.
I was just afraid it was going to be something like THC or something. You're giving me.
Is it really your own coffee beans?
**Bradley Flowers** (3:17)
Oh, so it's a Buffalo Trace coffee and I bought it. I bought it and I tried one K cup and I was like, this is the worst coffee I've ever had in my entire life.
So I brought it up here and Cole has been getting into bourbon and he likes coffee. And I said, Hey, I bought this Buffalo Trace. It's like bourbon infused coffee. There's no alcohol in it though.
**Scott Howell** (3:40)
I could taste something.
**Bradley Flowers** (3:42)
I was like, if you want to try this. So the other day he tried it and he said, Bradley, this is the worst coffee I've ever had.
**Scott Howell** (3:50)
It's got a little wang to it. I'll give you that.
**Bradley Flowers** (3:52)
We have got to give this to Scott on the podcast.
**Scott Howell** (3:55)
Well, you did. As a joke. You did. Anyway, it's got a little wang to it.
**Bradley Flowers** (4:00)
It's got a different taste. I don't like it. It's not, but I'm not big on, I'm not big on like a flavored infused coffee.
