GOP Demands Answers from Major League Baseball Over Anti-Christian Scandal

Also, we are awaiting the President of the United States, who is expected to release all of the details about the Memorandum of Understanding with Iran. We are going to get to that as well. You know, it's interesting, a lot of conservatives are up in arms over all of this. I know the New York Post, Fox News Channel, among those that are leading the charge saying this is absolutely a bad deal. Many people on the war hawk side of the Republican Party are saying it's imperative, imperative that Iran be destroyed and that regime change take place. And we're beginning to get some new details over this terror plot that unfolded over the past, well, 24 hours now when we got word that the FBI and the Secret Service had thwarted what would have been probably a 9-11 style attack on our nation's capital on the night of the UFC fight. And it was a pretty a pretty devastating and shocking a series of events. Now we understand at least five people from the latest reporting, at least five people have been arrested, as many as 23 people may have been involved in the operational planning. Now here's where it gets a little squirrely, because we got word late yesterday that a number of lawmakers were among those being targeted for attack during this what would have been just a heinous attack on our nation's capital and the UFC Freedom 250 event. One of those individuals named, one of the people they wanted to target, is in fact our next guest on the Patriot Mobile Newsmaker Line. We're honored to have Senator Marsha Blackburn from Tennessee. Senator, good to have you with us today, and certainly a disturbing report about what could have been.

Yes, indeed, it is disturbing. And you know, Todd, this is something that we think about every day. Every time I get a personal harm threat, it's one thing to me, but we are just really so concerned for people that show up at events, where we are attending events.

You know, Senator, I noticed that you had shared photographs, so you were there that night with your grandson.
It looked like everybody, a lot of lawmakers had their family members with them. And to know that not just yourself, but even your grandchild could have been in harm's way, this is just unacceptable.

**Marsha Blackburn** (4:19)
It is completely unacceptable. And from what we've been able to know, to hear and to learn so far from the FBI, is the target against me was because I support Israel. And Todd, you know, I stand with Israel. We as Christians are commanded to stand with Israel. And I find it so interesting that this group, anti-Israel, anti-Semitic, this group of individuals, and supposedly that is what drove the targeting of me. But yes, you know, I just am so grateful and thankful and feel blessed beyond measure that the FBI did their job and made certain the drone attack did not happen. They protected the president. They protected all of us. And they have apprehended several of the individuals involved in this attack. There are 23 that were involved.
Our understanding is they are searching for some and they have apprehended some and some are being questioned.

Senator, I'm wondering, again, you have been in public service for a very long time. And to get these sorts of threats and to know that people are out there wanting to harm you, and yet you get up every single day and you're still fighting the good fight, you're still fighting for the causes you believe in. And I'm just wondering, why do you do that? Why not just call it a day?
