Google's Gmail Live AI feature is now available in beta. More on that coming up, but first, listen to this. The Super Mario Galaxy Movie will be available to stream via Peacock on July 30th. The film is already available as a digital download and as a quaint item of physical media. The digital version came out in May and the Blu-ray slash DVD came out in June. The Super Mario Galaxy Movie was a massive hit, making over one billion dollars. If you're looking for a nostalgic movie, this could be it. There's a bunch of Nintendo Easter eggs. Star Fox protagonist Fox McCloud even shows up, as does Yoshi. The next big Nintendo movie is the live action adaptation of The Legend of Zelda. This one's being directed by Wes Paul, who made the Maze Runner trilogy in Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes. It hits theaters on April 30th in 2027
Also, if you're a sucker for a good vacuum, Shark has a new one that might get you hyped. It's a new power-detect vacuum called the Transformer, because, well, it transforms into three different types of vacuums. The whole setup is an upright vacuum with a big canister attached to it, but you can remove the canister, with apparently one click, to turn it into a stick vacuum that can fit into more places. Finally, you can remove the wand and attach one of its accompanying heads to turn it into a hand-held vacuum. For this particular design, the company removed the typical bulky hoses commonly found in upright models. The full-size upright has the most powerful suction, and is best used when deep cleaning carpets and hardwood floors. It shares its dual brushroll system, which was designed to capture more dirt, debris, and hair than its single brush counterparts with the stick form. Shirk says the dual brushroll system can actively remove hair wrapping into it while cleaning, so you don't have to go in with scissors to remove them from the brushes. Gmail Live, announced back at Google IO last month and now in beta testing, allows you to search your email inbox using just your voice. As spotted by 9.5 Google, some Android and iOS users might start to see the new feature appear on their phones before it rolls out to Google, AI Pro and Ultra subscribers at some point during the summer. It's part of Google's attempt to replicate the experience of using Gemini Live, live voice chats with the Gemini chatbot in popular apps like Gmail, Docs and Drive, with each getting its own version of the functionality in the coming months. If you happen to be a test subject, the live icon should appear in the search field, with the Gemini button popping up next to it. Tapping this launches Gmail Live in full screen, with a warning that it remains a beta feature for now. You'll also see an on-screen button for quitting Gmail Live and returning to your inbox, as well as a mic mute toggle. You can ask Gemini to search your email for things like upcoming travel dates or the whereabouts of orders. 905 Google says there is currently a small waiting period for voice commands to be processed. Gemini powered live functionality appears to be steadily rolling out to Google's various apps at the moment.
