Gavin McFerda, Gavin McKenna, on the board. Woo!
Dude, I have lived a torturous life for three games. I was all over the Leafs. I knew they were gonna be the best team in the league. And then they put me through absolute hell for three games. I can relate to Leafs fans everywhere now. I know what torture feels like. I know what having a miserable life feels like. And then I woke up on the day of game four. This was their fourth game, right? Or was it their fifth? I woke up on the day of game four and we went down three nothing. That's right, we went down three nothing to the Preds. And I said, I knew it. This is why Leafs fans hate everyone and everything. This is horrible. What a terrible existence. And then go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, Ferda.
SPEAKER_5 (2:05)
Ping, ping, ping, ping, ping, ping, ping, ping.
Dan Powers (2:07)
And then everything is perfect. The Leafs are back. The Leafs are winning the Atlantic. And I was right. And that is a good feeling because I didn't fucking know.
Chris Powers (2:17)
Chug it down.
Dan Powers (2:18)
How good this could feel. Can I tell you something? You're doing a really, really shit job at being a ride or die for the Buffalo Sabres. You're right. But this is like your number one rival right across the border and you are shit. You're just shitting all over the Sabres. I am more scared of Leafs fans.
I said some nice things. I thought that was a nice thing that I had done. And then they got horrible. And then everyone said, this is your fault. And I was like, I was trying to help. And then, so I kind of need the Leafs to at least be relevant for my safety. Then I will be riding or dying with the Sabres, but I'm trying to stay alive. How could I ride or die with the Sabres if I'm dead? How could I possibly ride or die with the Sabres if I've been killed? I just think you could be better. The Leafs are two and two.
And this was a big win. This was a huge comeback. It was a season-saving win, yeah. The entire season was going up in smoke, like the smoke monster in Lost.
It was clicking and hissing in the jungle bush, and we were about to get fucking eaten. And then we went like this. Ah, you know how you get loud? You get loud.
SPEAKER_5 (3:28)
Yeah, yeah.
Dan Powers (3:30)
That's what McKenna did. With like a bear attack? Titty. Yeah. Saved the whole season. It was an unbelievable goal. And I'll tell you, the Leafs, two and two, and I just love that, you know, boys are buzzing. Like Willie Nylander looks like one of the best players in the league. He was on the score sheet again last night. Matthews gets his second goal with the OT winner.
And we're just feeling pretty good in Toronto. Feeling pretty good. Oh dude, I'm telling you, it brought me great joy. And actually, cause I've also, the Preds, I would say are my other team that I took a big swing on like I always do. Most people had the Leafs and Preds low and out and I have them high and in. And when I saw the score, I was like, damn Toronto. But I was like, you know what, good for the Preds. Yeah. They're good for the Preds. It turns out they are good. And then it turns out they blew a three goal lead. And then now I'm like, oh, you stink.
