Welcome to the show Tuesday, Tuesday the 20th of October. Pod time.
Over to Susie.
Susie O'Neill (0:11)
I'm just looking for my, I'm just actually looking for my clues for the other podcast.
Kip Wightman (0:14)
Yes, we'll have the Masked Swimmer clue in our bonus podcast.
Susie O'Neill (0:17)
I haven't even got today's one. Oh, sorry, I've got today's one.
Kip Wightman (0:20)
So many pieces of paper, just everywhere.
Susie O'Neill (0:24)
Okay, got it.
Kip Wightman (0:24)
You'll hear a clue in this very show, in this podcast, and then go to our bonus podcast to get the bonus clue. You'll also hear about the shortest jobs people had.
Susie O'Neill (0:34)
That's a bit of fun, isn't it?
David Lutteral (0:35)
That's good gear.
Susie O'Neill (0:36)
That was funny. White lies?
Kip Wightman (0:38)
Yeah.
Susie O'Neill (0:39)
Which I feel like I can't say that anymore.
David Lutteral (0:42)
I just sit weirdly with him and he says white lies.
Susie O'Neill (0:44)
What are the origins of that?
David Lutteral (0:45)
White lies are good lies.
Susie O'Neill (0:46)
What else do we call it? Yeah. I don't know. The A lies. Not B lies.
Dangerous areas.
David Lutteral (0:54)
What's wrong with that? Like at schools now, if you're in 7A, that's suggesting that you're better than 7B, so you can't do that.
Susie O'Neill (1:01)
I was looking at a thing actually from the 80s back in the day, like how intense it was and they're talking about schools, how they used to put your names. I think I remember this on the blackboard in listing from smartest to dumbest.
You know how they used to do that sort of stuff? Did they really? They didn't rank you.
Kip Wightman (1:16)
Who was the dumbest in the class?
Susie O'Neill (1:17)
You would be ranked. You would know?
Kip Wightman (1:19)
The ranked on math, science or just in general?
Susie O'Neill (1:21)
For exam, I can't remember specifically. But the point is you knew where you were. When you did an exam, you knew if you were the top of the pops or you were down there.
SPEAKER_7 (1:27)
That's ruthless.
Susie O'Neill (1:30)
It's a real world, isn't it?
Kip Wightman (1:31)
I think it's up there for the group.
David Lutteral (1:34)
It is in some ways.
Kip Wightman (1:35)
And then you get the cane.
Susie O'Neill (1:37)
I missed the cane. I guess there were still caning boys when I was at school, but girls had been banned.
David Lutteral (1:42)
What would you have done to get cane?
Susie O'Neill (1:45)
Exactly. Nothing.
David Lutteral (1:47)
No, I didn't even get close, I don't think. Anyway, it's a good show.
Susie O'Neill (1:53)
I had a passion there for like five seconds, now I've lost it.
Ash Bradnam (1:56)
Yeah, it's got to.
SPEAKER_8 (1:57)
You can hit the expiry date, haven't you?
Susie O'Neill (1:59)
Best before.
SPEAKER_1 (2:01)
Enjoy the show. The Nick, Luttsy & Susie O'Neill Podcast.
Susie O'Neill (2:08)
Good morning. The rain seems to have eased off a little today.
David Lutteral (2:12)
It's a bit better out there, isn't it?
Susie O'Neill (2:14)
Yesterday, it was crazy weather.
Kip Wightman (2:16)
Nonstop. It was relentless.
Susie O'Neill (2:18)
Freezing as well.
Kip Wightman (2:18)
It was cold. Apparently, we were colder yesterday than Hobart in Brissy.
Susie O'Neill (2:22)
Really?
Kip Wightman (2:22)
Yep.
Susie O'Neill (2:23)
It felt like it, too.
SPEAKER_10 (2:24)
Yeah.
Susie O'Neill (2:24)
I got a bit chilly. Where did I go when I was really cold? Oh, that's right.
SPEAKER_10 (2:28)
Freezing.
Susie O'Neill (2:30)
I went to a sushi place really for a really late lunch at like three o'clock in the afternoon.
Ash Bradnam (2:34)
Did you just?
Susie O'Neill (2:35)
And I was...
Ash Bradnam (2:37)
Late sushi.
SPEAKER_11 (2:39)
Yeah.
Susie O'Neill (2:39)
I ended up having chicken karaji.
SPEAKER_11 (2:42)
Yeah.
Kip Wightman (2:42)
Karagi chicken.
Susie O'Neill (2:43)
Karagi chicken. Karagi chicken. It was just on Park Road there.
Kip Wightman (2:46)
Yep.
Susie O'Neill (2:47)
It was nice.
David Lutteral (2:48)
Karagi chicken.
Susie O'Neill (2:49)
Karagi chicken.
David Lutteral (2:50)
Do you go more of the fried stuff when you go to sushi or the...?
Susie O'Neill (2:55)
Well, because it was cold and I hadn't eaten since breakfast, I felt like something hot.
Kip Wightman (3:01)
Can't get past a good Western karagi chicken.
Susie O'Neill (3:04)
A bit of mayo. Mayo, yeah.
SPEAKER_12 (3:07)
Yeah, yeah.
Susie O'Neill (3:08)
Rice.
Kip Wightman (3:08)
It's very nice, isn't it?
Susie O'Neill (3:09)
A bit of rocket on the top.
