Bloomberg has an article out, Jerry, where professional chefs are listing the foods you should never cook on a traditional barbecue grill, like just a regular grill with the grates and all that. Coming in at number one, burgers. What? Burgers. Now, according to this Bloomberg article and the professional chefs, they claim that the fat drips down and the outside doesn't get caramelized and you lose all the flavor. You are, I guess, supposed to use some sort of flat piece of cast iron that you put on the grill and then cook the burgers to keep the flavor in. I guess it makes sense. I like the grill and that seems to be a problem. Coming in at number two, filet mignon. It doesn't have enough fat for the grill and they're usually pretty thick, so it's hard to cook them the way you want using just a traditional flame. I feel like I'm doing everything wrong, Hammer.
That's the two things I grill. Jerry, you go over to his house for a cookout. Like, everybody will say they want their burger a different way. He's going to say, OK, and make them all the exact same way. Come back in 40, it'll be done.
Again, this is a list of items you're not supposed to cook on a traditional barbecue grill. It was in Bloomberg. Pizza comes in at number three. Most grills don't cook very evenly, so it's hard to get the toppings to cook right.
It comes into a situation where the bottom gets burnt, but the top doesn't really work. All right. Let us know what you think on social media at Hammer and Nigel.
