SPEAKER_3 (0:41)

What does Top 100 mean to me? I think it's another way for the audience to get mad at us.

SPEAKER_4 (0:50)

It's something that we're going to debate, we're going to laugh, we're going to probably hate. But that's the point. It's so exciting to see all of the different viewpoints of everyone at Kinda Funny come together into one list. Game of the Year, Gamescast, building out this entire studio. It is the culmination of so much of the stuff we've been doing here.

SPEAKER_1 (1:12)

Something that I found very interesting in myself when I reflect back on my life is I was always interested in video games, not just playing them, but talking about them. I owe so much to the magazine I grew up with and learned so much about video games from Electronic Indian Monthly's Top 100 Games of All Time. That is where I learned about the majority of classic video games. I would walk around with that magazine as if it was my Bible, reading that top 100 list over and over and over.

SPEAKER_5 (1:41)

For 11 years, it's the people that make Kinda Funny. These are the games that have made the 11 of us.

SPEAKER_6 (1:50)

Top 100 are games that are both monumental to the industry, but then monumental for us.

SPEAKER_7 (1:55)

These are the games that you ride for. These are the games that you want to tell all of your friends about.

SPEAKER_8 (1:59)

Games that challenged us to learn more about ourselves and the medium as a whole. The stories we experienced and made together.

SPEAKER_9 (2:10)

We took these seven people's lists and combined them into one, that even they haven't seen yet. It's time to reveal Kinda Funny's Top 100 Games of All Time.

This Kinda Funny list is entirely subjective, and the team at Kinda Funny take no responsibility for making you sad, mad, or downright bewildered of their choices. Nor does this list invalidate any Top 100 list you might have in your head. It's just the Top 100 games that could come up using their minds, their tiny minds, their tiny, brilliant, silly, silly, dumb, dumb minds. If you're still angry, please feel free to use your own tiny mind. I know I do, and unfortunately, it's not fit for broadcast.

SPEAKER_10 (2:51)

Ladies and gentlemen, make some noise for the one, the only, Nick Scarpino.

Yeah, start the chant right now.

What's up, everybody? Welcome to the Kinda Funny Games, Top 100 Games of All Time. How's everyone feeling today? Yes. Let me first start off by thanking everyone that has joined us live for these last five days in our studio audience. Give yourself a round of applause, guys. Thank you so much for making this a truly amazing event. And for everyone watching at home, thank you guys so much for joining us as well. As you know, this is day five. This is crazy. This is the top 20, everyone. This is insane, right? I'm very excited, guys, on a personal note. Thank you guys for making this happen for us. And shout out to our amazing team right there. Round of applause for everyone working at Kinda Funny that has helped make this a reality.

But that's not what we're here for, guys. We're here for the games, right? So I gotta tell you guys exactly how this whole thing shook down. I'm gonna give you the rules of how we came to our top 100 list right now. Let's talk about it, guys. Let's talk about the definition. What defines a game that's gonna be on our list? It's the best, our favorite. Is it an iconic game? Influential, timeless, classic. All of these are factors, but in no mathematical way. It comes down to these are the games that we would fight for. These are the games that the people who make Kinda Funny love. Let's talk about franchises for a second. The franchises were up to the individuals on how to handle multiple franchise entries, remakes, remasters, reimaginings and similar versions. Barrett in our booth, shout out to Barrett, guys. Round of applause for him. Crushed this project.

There he is.

Barrett highlighted overlaps in similar games and had individual conversations with us to see where we felt strongly before locking the final list. Let's talk about what qualified to be on our list. The game had to come out before December 31st, 2025 It can come out on console, PC, mobile, arcade. Those little handheld Tiger electronics from the 90s. If we consider it to be a video game, it counts. This next part is very, very important, especially for everyone watching at home. Full spoilers. We're going to talk about everything. If a game made our list, we're talking about the beginning, middle of the end, every single thing. So if you don't like that, just keep watching. You'll be fine. And finally, guys, there were no ties in this. We prioritized passion. If there was a tie, it went to the game that averaged highest on our personal lists. Okay. With that out of the way, are you guys ready for the final 20 games on our list? This is insane. Let's make some noise for your hosts, everyone. Barrett, hit it.
