You're listening to the Hammer and Nigel Show.

My name is Nigel, Jason Hammers here. All right, this is important. I mean, last night was the Senate debate in Michigan. This is to see whether a DSA, you know, Hamas-loving Democrat is going to be elected Senator in Michigan or an establishment old white guy.

Jason Hammer (0:31)

Those are your options in Michigan.

Nigel (0:33)

Hey, man, give me the establishment every time and twice on Sunday. Right.

Jason Hammer (0:38)

If these are my options, then yes.

But, you know, this is also like an NFL training camp when, you know, the Browns are doing practice with the Jets just because one side's really awful. Doesn't mean the other side is good. You know what I'm saying?

Nigel (0:54)

True.

Jason Hammer (0:55)

Somebody's got to win that game. But if my options are these two, they'll give me the squish, I guess. The establishment squish.

Mike Rogers. Now, I say he's establishment. He always will try to distance himself from that, but he's kind of a butt sniffer a little bit.

Nigel (1:14)

But EL-Sayed sucked and he sucks. But he was did awful last night.

Jason Hammer (1:22)

Yeah, he got his ass handed to him last night.

This goes to show that being a hot take machine on social media is different when you take it to the stage. Like, how many comedians have we seen on social media that have quick zingers and funny videos, and then you pay them to see their show in person, and they kind of suck? That's almost the act that EL-Sayed has. He's great on social media, TikTok, short videos. I'm sure he's a blue sky all-star. But get him on the debate stage, and he gets his ass handed to him.

Last night, they had the debate in Michigan. This was EL-Sayed and Rogers discussing the anniversary of the Hamas attack in Israel.

Mike Rogers (2:11)

Yesterday was October 7th. This is why you should get absolutely angry. He could not bring himself to even acknowledge the pain, the terrorism, the rape.

The murders, cutting off of women's breasts, putting children in ovens and killing them in front of their families. He could not even muster.

Abdul El-Sayed (2:30)

So I've condemned that.

Mike Rogers (2:31)

And he could not even muster.

Abdul El-Sayed (2:33)

I've condemned that, but I didn't turn it into political theater like you just did.

Mike Rogers (2:35)

He did not.

SPEAKER_5 (2:36)

Sorry, let me tell you this.

Abdul El-Sayed (2:37)

I just need to respond.

Mike Rogers (2:39)

No, no, no. He's interrupted me for about half of my time.

Abdul El-Sayed (2:41)

So I'm so sorry, but I'm not somebody who tries to make political theater out of other people's pain.

Mike Rogers (2:46)

Your whole campaign is political theater.

Abdul El-Sayed (2:49)

And you turned it into political theater. Including putting on a white jacket.

SPEAKER_6 (2:52)

Gentlemen, gentlemen, gentlemen.

Jason Hammer (2:56)

Poor moderator.

Nigel (2:57)

That's great, though. Just eviscerating. Sayed eviscerated that guy.

Jason Hammer (3:04)

And look, I get I'm not somebody that's ever going to vote for a Democrat socialist ever, ever. Like, if my options are Rod Bray, who I can't stand in Indiana, or a Democrat socialist, boy, I would either skip voting or I'd have to vote for Rod Bray. But the socialist would never get my vote.

Go back to the Israel thing. This was a key part of last night. El-Sayed, when asked who the real bad guy is, Iran or Israel, which shouldn't be a hard question. Take a listen to his answer.

SPEAKER_6 (3:41)

I'm going to ask you again tonight, who do you think is a bigger threat to the United States, Israel or Iran? You have 60 seconds.

Abdul El-Sayed (3:46)

And again, Rick, I'm just going to say that that's a ridiculous hypothetical, because here's what's happening right now.

Our ostensible ally in Israel has lobbied us to go to war with Iran. We have watched as Iran has responded by bombing all kinds of countries in the Middle East, and then choking off the world's energy supply. So this is a situation in which I don't think we should be apart. I don't want to be pushed into war by Israel.

Jason Hammer (4:14)

Okay, so even if you are not the biggest Israel fan, and I'll listen to that argument. Like, if you feel like Israel is asking too much of the US, we can have that conversation.

But the easy answer is Iran, the world's largest state sponsor of terror. Iran is responsible for how many deaths of US servicemen and women, roadside bombs and attacks on bases abroad.
