You know how many references to Kalamazoo there are in culture? It's kind of weird.
You'll hear it in, there's some old songs and old books that'll mention Kalamazoo.

Speaking of Kalamazoo technology and what we're here to talk about today, let us swing, pitch, segue, if you will, over to AMD Ryzen updates. In this case, something on the more affordable end of the Ryzen spectrum, AMD Ryzen 3 1200 undergoing a 12 nanometer transformation. Is this as scintillating as it sounds?

**Sebastian Peak** (2:28)
Well, if you remember the 1600, the Ryzen 5 1600 got this AF variant that we've talked about a couple of times. And that was actually moving off of the old original Zen architecture to Zen Plus. It's not Zen 2, it's not the fast new 3000 stuff, but it's not that far behind.
And it's just this quiet upgrade in the background where they move off of the old process. You get a lot of the benefits of the 2000 series, but for the same low price, whatever the first gen has been selling for, which in the case of the Ryzen 5 1600 AF, is $85 on Amazon consistently since this first came out. So the Ryzen 3 is obviously a lower end skew. It's going to be cheaper. We don't know how much it's going to be at. We've just seen listings. This originally came from, I think, videocards.com, tweeted this out and there was a reference to it on a Gigabyte motherboard support page. So they're coming, the AF variants, and the Ryzen 3 1200, by the way, is a quad core processor. It's just four cores, four threads. So this is gonna be a very inexpensive part. I would hope to see it somewhere in the, maybe the $60 range, but we'll see. Because I mean, for 85, if you can get six cores and 12 threads, this would have to be pretty cheap to be an attractive alternative.
But I like this, that any of the existing inventory out there, as it gets discounted and then replaced, it's not being discontinued, it's just being replaced. They're basically giving everybody a free upgrade. And in reviews that we've seen of the 1600 AF, it performs pretty much identically to a Ryzen 2600 So, less money, roughly the same performance.
And this could be a very intriguing budget option, especially compared to some of the really inexpensive Intel parts.

MacRumors says a will report based on the note to investors from Apple analyst Ming-Chi Ko, quote, Apple working on six mini LED products including a new 14.1 inch MacBook Pro and refreshed iMac Pro. And quote, the product research and development for mini LED remain unaffected by COVID-19. The visibility for commercialization has even exceeded the expectations in our previous reports. The trend for Apple's development and promotion of mini LED are more identifiable in five years. We predict that Apple is currently developing six mini LED support products versus the previous report of only two products, including a 12.9 inch iPad Pro, a 27 inch iMac Pro. In the fourth quarter of 2020, a 14.1 inch MacBook Pro, up from 13.3 inch, a 16 inch MacBook Pro, a 10.2 inch iPad, and a 7.9 inch iPad Mini in 2020 And that's all quoting from the report by Ming-Chi Kuo. And basically, it's like 2020, 2021
