It's September 27th. Alright, so Fantasy Hockey is back in action, and that means it's time to gear up for the new season. This year's weekly primer is dropping on Sundays before the head-to-head matchups kick off. It's all about highlighting what's coming up and dropping some tips for players you might want to pick up for the long haul or just a week. The season kicks off on Tuesday, September 29th, a bit earlier than usual thanks to the new 84-game schedule. With no international breaks diluting the action, we're looking at a solid 23 to 24 weeks of fantasy fun. If you're thinking strategic, keep in mind that all 32 teams need to finalize their rosters by Monday at 5pm ET.

No last-minute surprises, right? Here's a heads up. The Vancouver Canucks and New York Rangers are both playing the most games this week with four on the schedule. If you're scouting for picks, players like Oliver Bjorkstrand and Eeli Tolvanen from the Rangers could provide those extra points. And keep an eye on the Canucks' Liam O'Gren. He's got a lot of potential going into the season. On the flip side, the Ottawa Senators only have one game this week, so their depth players are off the table for now.

If you're looking at some potential ads, check out Dylan Strome from the Capitals. Despite only being 43 percent rostered, his top line role could mean he's a solid choice to rack up points all season.

So as we dive into week one, make sure you're maximizing those lineups and staying sharp with those waiver wire pickups. Good luck and let's enjoy some hockey. From your team powered by AI, this is New York Rangers News Today.
