Welcome back to Girls Next Level podcast, everybody. We are so excited today because I think this is the first time we've done this. We're going over an episode, but we have a special guest here to help us go over the episode. So it's not our typical interview format. It's just a three-fer. Welcome Amber Campisi.

So we've interviewed Amber Campisi before, but this is... We're just sitting here catching up. Yeah. And how's your LA trip going?

Amber Campisi (0:37)

It's good. I brought the Texas Heat with me, I guess.

Bridget Marquardt (0:39)

Yeah. For sure. Can you take it back with you, too?

Amber Campisi (0:42)

I will try my best. Okay.

Holly Madison (0:44)

It's been muggy.

Bridget Marquardt (0:46)

Which we're not used to.

Holly Madison (0:47)

Not at all. So it's like rough.

Bridget Marquardt (0:49)

Very. Yeah.

And it makes just everything feel way hotter.

Amber Campisi (0:53)

I'm used to it, but most people here don't have AC, so.

Bridget Marquardt (0:57)

Well, they do, just not at the beach where you're staying. Exactly. Because the beach doesn't usually get this hot.

Amber Campisi (1:02)

We're not even getting a beach breeze.

Bridget Marquardt (1:04)

Oh, no. But out where I am, like in the valley and stuff, there's nobody that doesn't have, well, I shouldn't say that. But I mean, you'd be crazy not to have air conditioning there because we get really hot. But usually, like she said, a dry heat.

Amber Campisi (1:19)

And I'm used to the humid heat. It's just not what I was expecting for this trip. But doing the best. I'm excited to finally be traveling because a whole leg fiasco.

Bridget Marquardt (1:30)

Oh, snap. Your leg.

Holly Madison (1:32)

Snap, literally. So your leg is healed.

Bridget Marquardt (1:35)

My leg is healed.

Amber Campisi (1:36)

I had some scarring, but I did a two-mile walk this morning.

Bridget Marquardt (1:40)

Oh, that's not bad. No, it's sorry.

Amber Campisi (1:41)

And I can have it lasered. And yeah, so there's just all the hardware's out and I'm on the full road to recovery.

Bridget Marquardt (1:49)

But you were limping a little bit.

Amber Campisi (1:51)

Still a little bit limpy.

Bridget Marquardt (1:52)

Yeah.

Amber Campisi (1:53)

And no high heels yet. I'm not trying to push it.

Bridget Marquardt (1:55)

Yeah. And you were just in Palm Springs too.

Amber Campisi (1:58)

I was. I was. I have friends that live there. So it was hot there too.

Bridget Marquardt (2:01)

Oh, that is crazy hot.

Amber Campisi (2:04)

Baths have water, swimming pool hot.

Holly Madison (2:06)

Oh, wow. Yeah, I never heat my pool in Vegas. In the winter, it serves as a cold plunge. And in summer, like you don't have to heat it. It's just like perfect because it's so hot out.

Bridget Marquardt (2:16)

That's nice.

Well, I'm just happy to be here.

Well, we're happy to have you, yes. Wait, before we start to, I also brought in...

Oh, the telling.

Today, we are talking about, this episode is all about the telling. This is called Fangs for the Mammaries. It's the second episode about the telling, because earlier this season, we had Scream Test several episodes ago, which was kind of the prep work for it. This episode first aired on January 15th, 2009 The number one song at the time was Just Dance by Lady Gaga, which I know I've said it before, but Just Dance by Lady Gaga is like, when everything kind of turns for me in pop culture, it's for us personally, it's us moving out, but it's also like moving into like the 2010s kind of.

Bridget Marquardt (3:21)

Yeah. I get to that.

Holly Madison (3:22)

Crazy to think by January 25th, 2009, our last Playboy issue would have been on newsstands. So it's February 2009 So it's just crazy how time is flying.

The number one movie that week was still Paul Blart, Mall Cop, which kind of a funny story behind that. When they filmed the Hangover in Vegas, they first wanted to film it at the Wynn when Wynn said no, and then they filmed at Caesar's Palace. But after it came out, when Steve Wynn found out they turned down the Hangover, he was so pissed that he wanted Paul Blart, Mall Cop 2 to film at the Wynn. And that just wasn't as good as the Hangover, obviously.
