Then, we'll talk to former California gubernatorial candidate Tom Steyer about the strange things he saw on the trail. But first, the news.

So, Molly, there is Boosters of the War, and then there is Lindsey Graham, who may be its greatest cheerleader, and then there is JD Vance, who just loves to say everything Mr. Trump does is great. Somehow, they both can't find nice things to say about this Iran deal.

Here's the problem. Donald Trump said that the whole reason he was going bombing the Iranians was because they couldn't have a nuke. There was a piece in the Times Day about all the unknowns. The cover of the New York Post is just, we don't know anything, which is a pretty intense thing to say.
And this is the New York Post, owned by Rupert Murdoch. And basically, the net net is nobody knows what's in it, but we know a lot of it's bad. I wrote a book like that once.
So basically, what we have right now is that the Straits will, I think the best moment was Trump was like, the Straits will reopen as of now, was one tweet. And then it was an hour later, it was like, of the Friday. So the Straits will reopen, that is part of it, which is great. You know what was open before the Trump started bombing Iran?

The Strait of Hormuz?

Yes. So the Strait will now be open, thus accomplishing what Trump had messed up. You know, again, Trump spends so much time solving problems he created.
It is just spectacular.

Right. Exactly. It's the meme. He creates a problem, he solves a problem, he creates another problem.

No, he tells his supporters that the problem is solved, he repeats it again.

Yeah. It's incredible stuff.
So Lindsey Graham is not happy. By the way, Lindsey Graham and also Benjamin Netanyahu and all of the people who were on the war side of this equation had hoped that Trump was going to send ground troops in and level Iran. I think it's important here just to pull back for a moment and realize that Iraq, which was decade-long quagmire that resulted in just hundreds of thousands of deaths and destruction and just nightmare scenario every which way, was like a fifth or a sixth of the size of Iran. It is a huge country. It is like a little, it's about a fourth of America.
It is just you cannot, we don't have the army for this and nor do we have the political will for this. We could never do this. In fact, what do we do? We replaced the old Ayatollah, who was 87, with his son who has been injured and had much of his family murdered. We bombed a number of things. This Navy is still intact. There's all sorts of things that, you know, Trump, we've been heard from Trump. I mean, basically what we've learned from this war is that we can't trust our own government and that sometimes you can trust the Iranians more than you can trust the American government, which is an insane thing to think. I mean, a lot of the time, you can't trust either one. But the point of this is, that's what we've learned from this military excursion, which may or may not be over. And by the way, I'm pretty excited to see just everyone shitting on it. Lankford, if you want a deal to last, it can't be an executive agreement. Cornyn, they'll try to write it around the treaty requirements so I don't expect we'll vote on it. I mean, you know, nobody's seen it, but they know it's bad.

Yeah, great stuff. So we saw Elon Musk become our first trillionaire. He made Bill Gates' own wealth, who we used to talk about as the richest guy in a single day. And I wanted to remind us of some of his legacy whenever we think of what he's brought to our world. And I think of this Doge Bros testimony that I'm going to now play.
