Nigel (0:00)
The Hammer and Nigel.
Allison (0:01)
Do you believe these characters?
Nigel (0:02)
They're weirdos.
SPEAKER_3 (0:03)
So let's rock it.
Nigel (0:06)
My name is Nigel. Jason, him, are right over there. Got a pretty big announcement coming up. Do we even hint at the announcement?
Jason Hammer (0:14)
Tony Katz is getting another show. It's gonna be The Morning News with Tony Katz, and then Tony Katz, and then Tony Katz Today, and then Tony Katz Presents Hammer and Nigel.
Nigel (0:31)
Okay, find out if that's true coming up here in just a few minutes.
Jason Hammer (0:37)
For what it's worth, Tony Katz has tweeted at us, I would like to announce at this time that I will not be hosting the new 9 to Noon show. However, WIBC has begged me to replace the three to seven time slot and I'm considering it.
Thank you, Tony Katz.
Nigel (0:56)
You're a jerk.
Jason Hammer (0:58)
So, yeah, the new WIBC 9 to Noon show, midday, whatever you want to call it.
Nigel (1:05)
Midmorning.
Jason Hammer (1:06)
Midmorning will be announced coming up here in just a few minutes. Our boss, David Wood, will join us in studio. It's going to be nice having a boss join us in a room that has no intention of firing us, at least we think.
Nigel (1:23)
You don't know that.
Jason Hammer (1:24)
That's coming up in just a little bit. So stick around for that. Place your bets. Who do you think it's going to be?
Personally, I got five bucks on Allison and TKW, former producer, current producer, nine to noon, baby. There they are.
Nigel (1:40)
Dave Smiley.
Jason Hammer (1:42)
Dave Smiley, I don't believe is coming over.
Nigel (1:46)
No.
Jason Hammer (1:47)
Chick McGee.
Nigel (1:50)
Chicken Dave. The Chicken Dave Show on WIBC.
Jason Hammer (1:57)
I don't believe that's happening, but we will have that announcement live right here. So please keep it locked.
Um, data center coming to the southwest side of Indy, picking up some major momentum, Nigel. A data center planned for the southwest side, Kentucky Avenue area, got the final approval for some major tax breaks.
Nigel (2:26)
Good, good. I'm all for it. That's all you have to do with these data centers. They got more money than God. Negotiate with them and get the best deal you can as a city or a town and get all you. I mean, suck them for all you can because it doesn't really matter because again, they have more money than, well, you and I put together.
Jason Hammer (2:50)
Well, yeah, but then again, a bum on the street, panhandling has more money than you and I put together.
Sabie is the company and their planned data center campus is going to be along Kentucky Avenue. Now, this company, Sabie, has agreed to several good neighbor requirements, including enhanced landscaping, a closed loop water system, community contact transparency, whatever that means, and reporting on water and electrical use because anytime you find somebody that's against the data centers, it's always about the water, the water. What about the water? How much water?
Allison (3:33)
Water, water, water. We're going to run out of water.
Nigel (3:36)
Nobody's going to have any water.
Jason Hammer (3:39)
But this requires them to talk about how much water they're going to use. And as we've talked about in the past, and I think Tony Kennett has broken this down when he joined us on his weekly segment before, the water is kind of a recycled deal. It takes a lot at the very beginning. And I'm not saying that it does it takes a lot of water at the beginning to run these cooling devices. But ultimately, it's the same water that gets recycled for like a 10 year window.
At least that's what's being told to us.
Nigel (4:13)
Okay.
Jason Hammer (4:14)
And I'm looking at the numbers here. This project, again, Southwest Side, Kentucky Avenue, it represents around four point three billion dollars in investment.
Nigel (4:25)
See what I'm saying?
Jason Hammer (4:26)
And it's expected to create 75 full time jobs in Decatur Township, paying at least fifty dollars an hour.
Nigel (4:34)
Who do you know that makes fifty dollars an hour?
Jason Hammer (4:37)
Tony Katz. Other than that, I don't know.
Nigel (4:42)
I thought he was more along the line to like twelve bucks an hour.
Jason Hammer (4:45)
Yeah, he likes to work for free. That's not something we approve of here at the Hammer and Nigel Show. But no, no, this is a decent deal. If again, this is a huge if right? If it's all on the up and up. So we'll see what happens here. But here's what I've learned. Nige, being a Marion County resident, being a Hoosier, not an Indianan, as some people would say, being a Hoosier.
