So Hammer, the one question I didn't get answered yesterday when we were talking about AES, the power company, the utility regulatory commission, the IURC, you know, we mentioned that they approved that $71 million rate increase for AES customers. Now that Braun has kind of replaced the chairman and said he wasn't really OK with that $71 million rate increase, is it going to come back? Are they going to revisit that? Wait, I'm not trying to... I wasn't trying to be funny. I didn't know.

Nigel, you and your drugs. No!
We're screwed!

**Nigel** (0:57)
You're still screwed, even though Braun said he didn't like it and I'm replacing the chairman with this other guy.

**Hammer** (1:02)
So you think AES is going to come back to the governor and go, look, there's been a little misunderstanding. You've changed leadership out of good faith. Why don't we take our rate increase off the table and start talks again? Maybe we can lose money this time.

**Nigel** (1:20)
Start fresh.

**Hammer** (1:21)
That ain't happening. No. AES is going to treat this deal like they treat their customers. Like crap.
That's exactly what's going to happen.

Remember in the movie Liar, Liar with Jim Carrey, where at this point, he's not able to tell a lie and he's freaking out about his car and he's in that impound lot. And I believe the line is, so what I'm going to do is just bend over and take it up the tailpipe.
That's where we're at with AES. We could sit here and complain and bitch and moan, but it's not like we can go anywhere else.

In this case, it was easy to make an adjustment, but it should send a strong signal to any of the other IOUs that we meet in business on keeping rates down.

OK, it sends a message that I will fire you in six months if I find you to be a total Melvin. But it's a day late dollar short for those that did not want to have to pay more for bad service.

What about completely going off the grid and just like buying like a diesel power generator? What about that? Is that an option for the Hammers?

No, I'm not going out to have my entire house and powered by a diesel generator.

At this point, I'm just throwing out ideas, Hammer.

But what does that say about AES? Like, we got to sit down and think about it. Well, let me see.

That should be their new slogan. AES, slightly better than an old diesel generator.

Diesel prices are still through the roof, by the way. It wouldn't work anyway.

Turning our attention to primary night last night.
All eyes were on New York. Big night for anti-American rhetoric last night, Nigel. Big night.

Oh, huge, huge. But it's also a big night to put it on, you know, to showcase what these lunatic left wing socialists are all about in a primary election. And it's a walking advertisement for MAGA. And I think it's a walking advertisement for Donald Trump and the down ballot in twenty twenty eight.

So in case you haven't followed the news cycle, socialists ran the table basically last night, all of the Mamdami backed candidates won for the US congressional seats and a bunch for the state house in New York. Here's a little who's who of some of the folks that Mayor Mamdami backed against the traditional Democrat Party, like Hakeem Jeffries was the big loser last night. Here's some of your favorite TV pals that are coming to your ballot in November.
You've got Chevalier from District 13 who wants to abolish prisons, abolish ICE, abolish borders, and defund the police.

Yeah, I think that lunatic didn't even get AOC or she didn't. They didn't get Bernie Sanders. I mean, when you're too left wing for AOC and Bernie.

Chevalier says, quote, all deportations are wrong, including violent criminals.
She's called the United States an effing disgrace on social media. And in one social media post, the winner of the primary in District 13 of New York said, quote, I forgot to get napkins at the restaurant, so I wiped my hand on the American flag behind me.
