Zach Kazan (1:40)

Hello and welcome to The Worn & Wound Podcast. My name is Zach Kazan. I am the editorial director at Worn & Wound. Welcome to an all new episode of the podcast, a new era of the podcast begins today. We are introducing the newest member of the Worn & Wound team, Taylor Mason, our new media director. Taylor, welcome to the podcast. It's great to have you here.

Taylor Mason (2:03)

Yeah, thanks so much for having me. Looking forward to it.

Zach Kazan (2:05)

Yeah, it's great to have you on your very first Worn & Wound Podcast. First of many, I am sure.

I'm also joined by two of Worn & Wound's co-founders. We've got Blake Mallon and Zach Weiss calling as well. We've got a real Brady Bunch situation here on the call. Blake and Zach, how's it going?

Blake Mallon (2:23)

Good.

Zach Kazan (2:23)

I'm the cleaning lady.

Blake Mallon (2:25)

Yeah. The nanny.

Zach Kazan (2:27)

I think she was the-

Zach Weiss (2:28)

In the middle.

Zach Kazan (2:29)

Yeah. What was her name? What was that lady's name?

Taylor Mason (2:32)

Alice.

Zach Kazan (2:33)

Alice, yes. Thank you, Taylor. Yeah, yeah. Already making valuable contributions to the pod with this Brady Bunch knowledge. I don't know that I've ever seen an episode of Brady Bunch from start to finish. I have to be honest. I don't know that I've ever-

Blake Mallon (2:45)

Really?

Zach Weiss (2:46)

It wasn't like it was in the 90s were like what I saw. I don't think I watched the old show either.

Blake Mallon (2:51)

Really?

Zach Kazan (2:52)

I feel like it was just on all the time when I was a kid. It definitely was on all the time. I just don't know that I ever partook in the Brady Bunch.

I don't know. Crazy. Yeah, wild.

Learning new things about each other all the time. We thought this would just be a fun opportunity to get to know Taylor, welcome him, haze him maybe a little bit into the Worn & Wound Podcast fold. Before we do that, obviously, we'll do a risk check. Taylor, newest member of the team. I think you're going to get the first risk check. What are you wearing today?

Taylor Mason (3:23)

I have on a Zenith ChronoMaster Original I got in Japan a couple years ago.

Zach Kazan (3:28)

Very nice. I'm realizing I don't really know your watch collection very well. So this is going to be a learning experience for me, having you on the pod, seeing you in the office, just wearing stuff. We'll find out more about your watch collection as we dig in over the next hour or so. But yeah, that's a great piece. How long have you had that?

Taylor Mason (3:49)

Three years. Yeah, I got it back in 23

Zach Kazan (3:53)

Very cool. So you bought it in Japan. Was there a particular reason you bought it while you were there? You were just like, I want to commemorate this trip?

Taylor Mason (4:00)

No, because I'm going to age myself now. It was my 40th birthday purchase.

Zach Kazan (4:04)

Sick. That's exciting.

Zach Weiss (4:06)

We're all over 40

Taylor Mason (4:07)

Yeah.

Zach Kazan (4:08)

We're all elder millennials here. That's always been the vibe of this podcast.

Zach Weiss (4:13)

That's how we can have a conversation about syndicated Brady Bunch television show.

Zach Kazan (4:17)

Yeah.

Zach Weiss (4:17)

I don't think they do that anymore.

Zach Kazan (4:21)

I just will never forget when I referenced Carmen Sandiego in the office some time ago, and I don't think a single person near me knew what I was talking about. Man, just you saying the words Carmen Sandiego, and I have the theme song playing in my head immediately.
