Over the weekend, the Israeli military in collaboration with the United States military carried out a series of strikes on Iran, which resulted in the head of state being killed, along with other key officials. And it would seem that we are now, in fact, actually getting our war with Iran. And so we will discuss that. We will also discuss the subsequent shooting perpetrated by an Islamic radical in Austin, Texas, who shot up a nightclub, of course, in retaliation for this attack backed by the US on the state of Iran. And then we will discuss a very important election happening also in the state of Texas, a lot going on in Texas, a lot going on in the world. You as the patriot must understand how it works. Hello there, ladies and gentlemen. Welcome to The John Doyle Show. You know, I actually had a fantastic weekend. I was unusually offline, and thus I seem to have slept through my opportunity to die for Israel. I slept through war with Iran yet again, and this just keeps happening to me. I've lost count, actually, of how many times, just in the last year, we've had war with Iran. You know, we dropped a few bombs on them in June, and then in December, there were some protests, and now we blew up the Ayatollah. Is this all one big war with Iran? Are these all just like small wars with Iran, which are just like cycling? Is any retaliation from Iran now its own war? It's very difficult to keep track of. I will make a point to consult with the Pakistani geopolitics experts who occupy my Twitter replies calling me Jewish. And so we will find out exactly what's going on there since they are the experts, it would seem. But yes, early Saturday morning, the United States and Israel launched a joint attack on Iran, which claimed the lives of numerous high-ranking officials including the Supreme Leader, the Ayatollah. And Trump dubbed the operation, Operation Epic Fury, which if we can we just like acknowledge that that's kind of funny. And he has told us that it's going to last for four weeks or less. And before we go any further, I just want to be clear about something because I know that I'm shucking and jiving. I'm joshing a little bit with the whole war with Iran stuff because it is kind of funny. The boy who cried wolf. It is important to say that while I do trust Trump, I am absolutely apprehensive about any use of American military to topple a foreign regime. This is not something like mass deportations where you can basically say like, okay, yeah, let's go. When it's announced, regime change, especially in the Middle East, is a bit trickier, wouldn't you say? Even when there's much to be gained, it seems to be the case. And you don't have to look too far into America's past to recognize that this is true. The global war on terror, which many of us grew up during, that was launched by President Bush officially after 9-11. And it actually didn't end until 2021 with Biden's disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan. During those two decades, of course, we spent trillions of dollars, we lost thousands of American lives, not to mention the tremendous waste of political capital, which we could have used for literally anything else. All of that was done trying to bring democracy to the Middle East. And in the case of Iraq, the government we established still exists for whatever that's worth, I guess. But then the efforts from, you know, America, from the West, broadly speaking, to establish a liberal democracy in Afghanistan, that like objectively failed. I mean, Biden took us out of Afghanistan. The Taliban regained control in like five seconds, as if we'd never been there at all, aside from all the military technology, which they took because we just left it behind. It was a total disaster. And that really was the main problem, by the way. Like, it wasn't Biden that withdrew us from Afghanistan. Like, Trump established that timeline. And, you know, you had Obama, for example, increasing our troop presence in Afghanistan, and then Trump comes in, he establishes the withdrawal timeline. Biden then completed what Trump begins, which was the right thing to do. But he executed it in very Biden-esque fashion, so to speak, right? It was the most amateurish, incompetent way to go about that thing that we had already established that we were going to do, such that, yeah, the Taliban ended up with a bunch of our stuff. And that just made us look ridiculous. It made us look weak. It made us look inept on the world stage. And if you're actually the president of America, it's not, in fact, your job to make us look weak and inept in front of our allies, in front of our adversaries. You're actually supposed to make us look the opposite. We're supposed to look strong and competent. I guess Biden forgot that, didn't care to tend to that. Fortunately, Trump seems to get it. And you could certainly argue that something needed to be done after 9-11. Yeah, after the most devastating terrorist attack on American soil, literally ever, we can't just do nothing. I totally agree with that. But what we could have done, and what I think is clear would have happened, say, if Trump were president at the time, is that we would have gone in, we would have killed who needed to be killed, and then maybe take some oil, because it turns out you can just do that, right? And then we leave, and then we get out. And that's the problem with neoconservative foreign policy. The problem wasn't that we killed people. Are you even right-wing, if you believe that? You're some badass, dissident right-wing, basin red-pilled guy, and it's like, oh no, the last thing we can do is use our military to freaking kill people who are causing us problems to harm brown bodies.
