President Trump wins big in Arizona as the midterm elections start to look surprisingly good for Republicans. But threats loom as Secretary of State, sorry, Secretary of War Pete Hegseth hits up Capitol Hill for more funding as the Iran War approaches its sixth month. Then turning to domestic matters, therapists are reportedly telling tons of patients to cut off contact with their parents. And the world's most famous biohacker claims to have cloned himself to harvest organs from the baby. I'm Michael Knowles, this is The Michael Knowles Show.
Welcome back to the show.
Little technical difficulty there at the top of the show. I don't know exactly what happened, but I'm very, very confident it is Professor Jacob's fault. We have a great guest coming on at the very end of the show. My favorite MMA fighter, a close friend of the Crime Du Lac Crime Michael Knowles Show community. First, though, just on some basic political news, big win for conservatives, big win for MAGA, big win for President Trump last night in Arizona. Andy Biggs won the Arizona Governor Primary. This was a primary that included Congressman David Schweikart and businessman Scott Neely, along with Ken Miscellany. There were a number of people running for this spot. And Andy Biggs is the guy who won it. Andy Biggs had the endorsement of two very important conservatives, one being Donald Trump, the other being Charlie Kirk. Charlie was a big proponent of Andy before, obviously, before he was killed. And so this was a big win for the MAGA conservative, populist side of the movement.
It's also really important because Arizona is one of five states that Trump won in 2024, where a Democrat governor is on the ballot in 2026 So this is a real opportunity for conservatives. And one of the arguments against Andy Biggs in the primary was that he was too Trumpy, he was too conservative. You know, Arizona isn't like that. Arizona is the state of John McCain. Arizona is more the state of maverick, moderate Republicans. And so this is the fact that Andy Biggs was, you know, supporting Trump even during 2020, even after the worst day in the history of our Constitution, January 6th, you know, that was really the attack line used on him in the primary. Didn't work.
The Republican Party belongs to Donald Trump. That is true nationally. That's apparently true in Arizona. So the Trump Act candidate wins. It's a good look for Trump in the midterms. And also it's very important, the fact that Trump recently won that state while it has a Democrat governor, while that Democrat governor was on the ballot in the midterms, it's really a good sign for the GOP and for these midterm elections. Everything should be working against the GOP right now. Historically, the GOP should get clobbered in the midterms. The fact that you have this war that's pretty unpopular, the Iran War, which we'll get to in a second, should really clobber the GOP. The fact that there's some economic instability should really clobber the GOP. On and on and on and on and on.
The best thing the GOP has going for it though is the Democrats, because people really, really don't like the Democrats. They actually trust the GOP more than the Democrats. I think a lot of it with the Democrats, people are going to think I'm beating a dead horse, but I'm really not here. A lot of it goes back to the Dems going all in on woke, especially transing the kids. You might say that's a minor issue that affects relatively few people, but it's so exposed the Democrats' error in judgment, they have not recovered from it. They are doing everything they can right now to change their image. They're doing everything they can to run away from woke. Zorah Mamdani is doing that. You've got AOC saying she's not really a leftist, she's a working class person. It isn't working though. So good news for Trump, good news for the GOP. Now, there's some bad news for President Trump and the administration, which is that the Iran War, which we were all hoping was going to wrap up in four to five weeks, is now approaching the end of its fifth month and with no end in sight. Looking into its sixth month, Secretary of War Pete Hegseth was on Capitol Hill because the administration needs more money. The war has cost about 37, 38 billion dollars thus far. They'll need some more money to prosecute the war. And Pete Hegseth met some really strong headwinds on Capitol Hill. The Democrats accused the administration of starting a needless war. Here's his response.
