Texas has a problem. Texas status messed with. At least that's what Bo French suggested after seeing a video of students at the University of Texas being almost completely South Asian, and the Republican establishment immediately lost its mind and accused him of racism, thus sparking the second French-Indian War. And the response is tired. We've heard it a million times. Texas, not even just America anymore. Texas is just an idea, man. Anyone can become a Texan. Everyone should become a Texan, just like anyone and everyone can become an American. And questioning that makes you the problem. That is what Pooja told me. I'm not even kidding you. In fact, I would like to begin the program with a poem. The original tweet from Bo French reads, I heard UT graduation this year looked like this. I didn't believe it. The problem is now obviously far worse than anyone. Imagine perfectly normal reaction for a man who grew up in Texas to have seeing the transformation of the student body of UT.
The response from Pooja.
If you look at a crowd of diverse Texas students celebrating together and see a quote problem, the problem isn't the students. This is what Texas looks like. And if you don't like it, you can leave. The problem is I moved to Texas in 2021 Okay. And by 2023, 2024, even I realized, okay, something is happening and it's happening very quickly. The state that I grew up in for, I don't know, the 21st year of my life, it don't look the same. Imagine being someone like Bo French, lifelong native Texan, real Texan, seeing all of this transformation, it's probably a little bit different. So I respond, I say, when the flags of Spain and Mexico flew over Texas, there were many Jose's, but scarcely a Puja to be found. When the flag of France flew over Texas, there were many John's, but scarcely a Puja to be found. When the Lone Star flew over the Republic of Texas and later the flag of the Confederacy, there were many John's, but scarcely a Puja to be found.
Then came the stars and stripes beneath it, Jose's and John's and John's lived together, some rooted in the soil for generations, others more newly arrived, each with a different claim upon the land and its history.
Then five seconds ago, Puja arrived. She surveyed the descendants of all those who had come before her, announced that she was every bit as Texan as they were and informed them if they didn't like it, they were free to leave. That is kind of what we're dealing with here. People show up five seconds ago and arrogantly decide that they get to decide what it means to be a Texan and by extension, an American, I guess. There's one slight issue though. The man UT Austin is literally named after didn't believe that, Stephen F. Austin. He understood something about nations and peoples and cultures that our modern political class really wants us to ignore. And the history of Texas itself proves it. So today, we are going to go back to the founding of Texas. We're going to ask a very simple question. What actually makes someone a Texan or an American for that matter? At what point too can we just, I don't know, believe the words that people are telling us when they say we don't get to have a country, we don't get to be recognized as a people, we should maybe not be treated like second-class citizens, they think we should be, they tell us that. Maybe we should say, I don't know, maybe we shouldn't be killed for our beliefs, they believe that we should be, they're quite open about it. The Charlie Kirk statue was vandalized almost immediately. Pro-life women gave a bunch of money to a radical leftist influencer to show her that kindness wins. She goes on and then posts a video mocking Kirk on the anniversary of his assassination. So the thesis today is that you need to believe the words people tell you, and you need to harden your hearts. I've said it before, our collective success is entirely contingent upon the ability of you and your friends to ignore the tears of women and foreigners. And today, there is a great flood of them. We have a lot to get into, do stay tuned.
Hello there, ladies and gentlemen. Welcome to The John Doyle Show. So college football is in full swing again, with Texas in particular being known for just how much it loves football, college football. So UT Austin releases a video of its students attending their recent game, but the students at the University of Texas didn't exactly look much like Texans at all, which Bo French, Arch Patriot, responded to with the tweet we mentioned earlier. I heard graduation this year looked like this. I didn't believe it. The problem is obviously worse than anyone imagined. And this causes a massive firestorm. The entire establishment GOP was just rushing over itself as quickly as they could to condemn this as racist. This is a hateful statement. It's speaking in ways totally indistinguishable from the Democrats and Texas. And it's of course because both of them basically have a completely shared worldview that whether you're taking Texas just as a state or America as a whole country, ultimately we are just an idea. And what is that idea? Well, anyone can be an American, except of course for the people who say that not everyone can be an American because those people are un-American and should basically be executed. Eric Erickson literally said that, by the way, he was moral tone policing. He was tone policing.
