In the immediate aftermath of the Kirk assassination, there were many conversations that you may remember about unity, offensives against the left, and who the next Charlie Kirk would be. I think a year later, it's safe to say those conversations may as well have never happened because obviously the fruits are quite scarce. So, we're gonna analyze the past year, what came of it. Of course, in the wake of the most consequential assassination in modern American history, but also, of course, we have to be forward thinking. And it is true that one of the last things that Charlie Kirk said to friends was that we have to get JD Vance elected. Charlie Kirk was, of course, responsible for JD Vance being the man selected as the vice presidential nominee. But of course, through his work in states like Arizona, Pennsylvania, really all the swing states for that matter, he's also largely responsible for us even having won in 2024 at all. So, we obviously have spent quite a while on the program talking about how all stupid former leftists are trying to shape or outright destroy Kirk's legacy. Now, we have to talk more about the Neocons, which is to say the kind of paleo stupid former leftists, the original ones, the old ones, how they're trying to presently flash their membership card by mourning the loss of Kirk, while also quite hypocritically working against what he intended his legacy to be, which is the steadfast and total continuation of the MAGA movement through JD Vance, who is now being slandered by these people as a socialist for being the only person in politics aside from Kirk to address the issue of affordability specifically for young Americans. So, do stay tuned.

Hello there, ladies and gentlemen. Welcome to The John Doyle Show.

If you've been watching the program at all throughout the past year, I think that we've been more or less calling the shots as they come in, you know, with everything developing in the media sphere, be that with the former leftists, the old former leftists, panic ins, everything going on in the news cycle, how we should be viewing that. And if you're at all familiar with my content prior to launching The John Doyle Show, you'll know I really don't like repeating myself. I like to say everything I have about a subject one time and then shelve it, never to return to it again. Unfortunately, the new content model does not exactly allow for that, so I'm kind of torn. And then two, the idea of coming up with something to say about the assassination that's not in the immediate wake of it, where people are looking for answers or trying to steer the conversation, it just seems to be in poor taste. You know, kind of, if I have something to say about it, the idea that I would save it for when it would be like the optimal time to say it because of, you know, the conversation, it just seems to be very in poor taste. So, or in quite poor taste for that matter. So, I think what we're going to do is we're going to kind of actually play some clips from the show that we put out. This was actually a video that we put out in the immediate aftermath of the assassination and kind of build off what was said then and translate it to a more contemporary context where maybe we were right, maybe we were wrong. And I think that's how we're going to do this segment of the program because everything I had to say about it in terms of what it meant, I do think has basically been vindicated, but also I think I put it quite well when I had a kind of righteous indignation and wasn't maybe so demoralized about things. So yeah, we'll take a look at that. Charlie Kirk was our hero. He was a loyalist until the end. He was one of the only guys who in 2022 remained loyal to Donald Trump. He had every incentive to join with the rest of the party in breaking away from Trump, financial, social, political, every incentive. Everyone wanted Trump gone. The party wanted to move on to DeSantis or someone else. Trump was losing allies, donors. The media was turning on him. Charlie Kirk remained loyal.

Seeing that happen in 2022 is when I knew he was a good man. In meeting him and hearing more about what he believes and how he navigates himself behind the scenes, that's when I knew he was a great man.

The conservative movement is now facing an incomprehensible void without Charlie Kirk. No one else but Charlie Kirk was showing up to Utah Valley University on a Wednesday afternoon to speak to America's youth and nobody else could do it. Now, he was better read, reasoned, and he was more effective with the spreading of all of these ideas that his detractors claim they really care about.
