All right, so last night, the Fever, their season come to an end. First round exit, eliminated in the deciding game three, 94 to 83, and the real reality is, Caitlin Clark was not good last night. In a deciding game, what may have been the biggest game of her pro NBA career, WNBA career, Caitlin had 18 points but was only 3 of 12 from the 3-point line, just 4 assists, just 2 rebounds.
So it was a bad night for Caitlin when the team needed her the most.
SPEAKER_2 (0:39)
She's usually an assist machine. She's a 3-point machine. I mean, you look at 18 points and you say, well, she did all she could, but the numbers go deeper than that.
SPEAKER_1 (0:51)
Yeah, poor shooting night, poor shooting night from the field, just gross from the 3-point line. And also, might I add, we still haven't received an apology from the announcers from Amazon Prime from when the game was in Indiana a couple of nights ago. Remember, they were real quick to just call everybody that's a Fever fan in the state of Indiana, basically a racist, a Trump-supporting maggot, all this kind of crap. Right. And the thing that bothered me the most was the play-by-play guy, Michael Grady. He's an indie guy.
He is a Warren Central product, if I believe. Used to work at our sister station down the hall. And he's always been nice to us, always been super cool.
SPEAKER_2 (1:36)
Been on our show, hasn't he?
SPEAKER_1 (1:38)
Been on our show before. But I hate the fact that he just sat there and let his analyst, this awful woman named LaChina, just bash.
Stephen Jackson (1:48)
LaChina! LaChina!
SPEAKER_1 (1:49)
LaChina, an entire fan base without offering any sort of pushback whatsoever.
And this happens over and over. All of these, you know, blue sky loving, leftist media members, they are so quick to rip on the Fever fans, but they're never around to offer the apology when the league or the team or the stadium does an investigation and they find out nothing happened.
SPEAKER_2 (2:17)
They just disappear up and disappear like a fart in the wind. No apology. They forgot about it. And everybody is left thinking that, yeah, exactly how you described it. Our fans here in Central Indy, the people that go to the Fever games are just another bunch of bunch of racist Caitlin Clark fans are all white fans yelling at the other players. Give me a break.
SPEAKER_1 (2:41)
And all the latest incident was, was a dude that was sitting on the second row underneath the basket, jumping up and pointing to one of the Las Vegas players, Aja Wilson, and saying, that's on you. That foul, that's on you.
SPEAKER_2 (2:55)
Trust me, we were all saying it.
SPEAKER_1 (2:57)
Right.
SPEAKER_2 (2:57)
I was there. We were all saying it in that stadium or in that. Yeah.
SPEAKER_1 (3:02)
I mean, that's what happens in sports.
SPEAKER_2 (3:04)
The field house. We were all saying it. She ran over Sophie Gunningham and like the foul. No, that was on you.
We all stood up even in the nosebleeds.
SPEAKER_1 (3:16)
There's video. You could read the lips. The dude didn't do anything wrong. But for whatever reason, Aja Wilson of Las Vegas, who was having a bad night. Now, she was great last night. She was great in game one. She's a four time MVP of the league. Most people feel like she's the best overall player in the league. She was having a bad game here in Indy and maybe she took it out on the fan. But the real reality is she stepped over into the fan area, like where row one was and got in the face of a fan. Now, had an NBA player done that, that player would have been kicked out and suspended. Bye. And this is where, and I don't believe I've ever said these words, Stephen Jackson, voice of reason comes into play. Stephen Jackson, former Indiana Pacer.
He was one of the first ones to run into the stands and start punching people in the Mallis at the Palace. I think he was like right behind Ron Artest.
Stephen Jackson, he does a popular podcast too.
He's like, now, wait a minute. Where's all the criticism for these WNBA women? Because had that been a W, I'm sorry, had that been an NBA man, the media would be all over him.
Stephen Jackson (4:34)
I'm sure ready to see when these announcers, WNBA announcers wants to hold these women accountable. So one thing about Stephen, I don't agree with him, but he always kept us accountable. When we did something wrong, he spoke on it, he held us accountable. He gave us our flower, but when we did something wrong, he held us accountable, right?
