Hello, Sunstone Mormon History Podcast nerds. This is your fine host, Lindsay Hansen Park, and I'm here talking to you right now because today's episode is gonna be a little bit different. It's our bonus episode. October is a time for mystery and strange things afoot. And for this episode, as we have promised and teased in the past, Bryan and I are playing the audio from our Sunstone session from the 2021 Sunstone Symposium, Deep Cuts with the Mormon History Podcast. Bryan and I did a special session for our listeners. It was great.
We loved all the people that came out to listen to us and we recorded the audio. Some of you have requested this. This episode is dedicated to Christian Anderson and his lovely mother and family. We hope you like it.
One side note of strangeness. And I apologize for folks who are gonna get frustrated with this. In the first part of the episode, Bryan and I give our presentation. Toward the end, we do a slideshow where we show some cool photos from some of our adventures. We tried to explain them. So I left in the audio, and I think it's pretty self-explanatory, but I apologize that some of it will be a little confusing at the end. We also left in some of the great questions and only edited out for length or for photos that we didn't think would make sense. I apologize if you don't get to see the visuals, but I think there's enough great stuff in here that you'll have a great time. And again, thanks for all those who joined us. We love you guys.

It's the Sunstone History Podcast.
**Malia Halsvedt** (2:45)
You Hi everyone, my name is Malia Halsvedt, and I'm the moderator for this fine event.
This is session 271, Deep Cuts, from the Sunstone Mormon History Podcast. At Sunstone, we are making it a goal to build a community that allows many ways for people to express their faith.
Our tagline is, there's more than one way to Mormon. We invite you to help us build a community where all paths are given space to be better understood. Please support us in our mission by making a donation and subscribing at sunstone.org. After the symposium, we'll edit, polish and re-upload all of this year's sessions videos to the Whova app. It'll take about two weeks for everything to be available, but once it is, every video will be available to watch and re-watch in the Whova app through the end of 2021
If you're watching us online, hello. Please type any questions into the Whova app to be addressed during the Q&A portion of this session. Or if you're watching in person, you can come right up here to the microphone to address the people on the stage. All right, about this presentation. During the first year of its run, the Sunstone Mormon History Podcast has attracted thousands of listeners and led hosts Bryan Buchanan and Lindsay Hansen Park on all sorts of adventures. In this presentation, the pair will share some of the insider moments from the podcast, including an FLDS compound document dig, finding the papers of Nellie Taylor and more. I'll take a second to introduce you to our speakers before we begin. The person to my left is Lindsay Hansen Park. She's the executive director of the Sunstone Education Foundation and host of the Year of Polygamy podcast. She also co-hosts the popular Sunstone Mormon History Podcast with Bryan Buchanan.
Speaking of Bryan Buchanan, that's this guy. Bryan Buchanan works among piles of books at Benchmark Books in Salt Lake City. He's the co-host of the Sunstone History Podcast with Lindsay Hansen Park. He's the editor of Continuing Revelation 2021 and is working on about nine million other things. That's very exciting. Lindsay, how many things are you working on?
Nine million and one. That's sad.
Well, try to learn from Bryan. Have a great session.
