Today is October 20th. I'm Corey with the story, and this is New York Rangers News Today. AI powered updates on your squad. Okay, so let's dive into the Dylan Garand situation. Right now, he's the only real major league goalie the Rangers have on their roster.

It's kind of wild when you think about it. Just earlier this month, they put him on waivers, and not a single team picked him up. That's a crazy turn of events. Then there's this whole Vezina Trophy buzz around him. Garand's clearly focused on making this season his best yet, and you can feel that energy.

Keeping him healthy is key, though.

If he goes down, things could get rough for the Rangers.

Backup Spencer Martin isn't exactly the answer either. The team seems pretty determined to keep him away from the crease. And yeah, that makes sense given the current backup situation. You don't want to throw someone in the deep end without the support. You feel me? Meanwhile, Joonas Korpisalo's absence just adds more pressure on Garand. They're really counting on him to step up now that their depth is looking shaky. Every game matters and all eyes are on him. So, gotta keep watching how this plays out. If Garand stays healthy, he might just secure that Vezina Trophy. But if not, the Rangers could really face some challenges ahead.
