Ducks Start Road Trip Against Rangers | New York Rangers News

It's October 19th. Alright, so the Ducks are kicking off a four-game road trip tonight against the Rangers in New York. They're coming in with a record of four wins and three losses, but just dropped both games in their recent homestand. That being said, they haven't lost on the road yet this season, which is a nice little edge to have. Now, the Ducks' top lines are looking pretty solid, featuring guys like Leo Carlsson and Cutter Gauthier.

They've been setting the pace, but they've had a tough time keeping leads after getting out front early. In their last couple of games, they've lost leads after starting strong, which is something they need to fix if they want to compete. Carlsson's leading the squad with 9 points and Sinekis got 5 goals under his belt. They'll need them firing on all cylinders if they want to turn things around tonight.

Lukas Dostal is expected to play, but he's been a bit inconsistent with the goals against average of 3.17. Definitely something to watch. Over on the Rangers' side, they're sitting at 6 wins, 3 losses, and 1 overtime loss. They're also perfect at home so far.

Alexis Lafrenière is your go-to guy with 11 points, bringing some real firepower.

But their goal-tending situation is shaky now that Igor Shesterkin is out for the season, which could be a game-changer. For tonight's picks, I'm feeling Cutter Gauthier to score at least one goal. He's got a strong track record against the Rangers. And let's not sleep on Pavel Dorfyev. He's had success against the Ducks in the past. With Anaheim's defense being a bit rocky, he could find the back of the net too. Should be an interesting matchup for sure. I'm Corey with the story. That's your New York Rangers News Today update.
