It's October 19th. Alright, let's break this down, folks. The Anaheim Ducks hit Madison Square Garden looking to keep their perfect road record intact, but things didn't go their way as they fell 5-2 against the New York Rangers, who were unbeaten at home. A tough start to a four-game trip for sure. The Ducks were coming off a solid last season, but they were clearly facing some challenges this time around. They've got a bunch of rookies, including first-round picks Roger McQueen and Nikita Klepov. But none of them could turn the tide against the Rangers.

It's all about that experience, right? Now, on the other side, the Rangers had their own new faces, with Sean Dursey and Oliver Bjorkstrand both finding the net. They really capitalized on their chances early, scoring just over a minute into the game. The Ducks, on the other hand, struggled to break through, especially against Rangers goaltender Dylan Garand, who made 28 saves in just his second start of the season. Things got worse for Anaheim when they ended up on the wrong side of a power play with captain JT Miller making it 2-0 early in the second. The Rangers kept piling on the pressure and by the end of the second period, it was 4-0.

That's got to hurt when you're on the road.

So the Ducks got to shake this one off as they've got gains coming up against the Islanders, Devils and Flyers. Gotta have that short memory and be ready to bounce back. New York Rangers News Today, powered by AI bringing you what matters on the field and
