In every way, man, y'all, we're facing discouragement, fighting discouragement, like waves of discouragement. And so we just decided to like keep it real, and we're gonna have just a, we're gonna have a good conversation tonight, all about discouragement and how we handle it. And then frankly, we're gonna be like keeping it real.

**Heather** (0:14)
Yes, I mean, I told Christy tonight when I was over here, I was like, I feel like discouragement is all around me.
I was like, can we talk about that? How we handle those feelings, what we do with them? I was just like, I'm feeling the same way.

**Christy Young** (0:27)
Yeah, I can't get over how God does allow us, sometimes the sisters, like super tight sisters, to feel the same thing at the same time.

**Heather** (0:34)
Hey, y'all, welcome back to The Gritty Gospel with Heather.

**Christy Young** (0:38)
Oh, we love y'all and Christy. We're so glad y'all are here tonight.
And today, whenever it is, whatever time it is you're listening, we love y'all so much. And yes, so we're jumping right in talking about how we've experienced waves of discouragement recently. And really, we both love the Lord. And so we don't know any way other than to handle life's discouragement by surrendering it back to the Lord. But we're hoping to encourage you and then to encourage our own hearts as we look at scripture in light of how we should face discouragement. But we're also totally keeping it real.

**Heather** (1:09)
Oh, yeah, yeah, definitely keeping it real. We just want to encourage y'all because sometimes you may think that we have it all together and we don't. I mean, it's been a really sad day.
Really, a couple of weeks now, just a lot going on. And, I mean, I had to put my dog to sleep today. That just took the life out of me. And he was almost 12 And, you know, we're starting a new business and there's the anxiousness of that. And your finances and we're starting to tell them about your new business. Oh, yeah, y'all. So we actually in the event you need these services. Oh, yeah, we sent off our dog. Her name is Till to learn how to sniff mold. And that's M-O-L-D, not like moles in the art, but mold.
So she's trained to alert you if you have mold in your house or mold in your car. So she'll indicate it. She'll stop. She sniffs around. She can tell you.

**Christy Young** (2:00)
And what's the name of your company?

**Heather** (2:01)
The company is Top Dog Mold Inspections. We're on Facebook and we're just waiting on the Lord to blow it up. So we have that going on. New business.

**Christy Young** (2:10)
And you've got a couple of great clients and Till has done a great job to find mold in homes to be able to protect people. So it's been such beautiful. So beautiful watching it get jump off the ground.

**Heather** (2:20)
Yes, I'm very thankful. So be in prayer for that too. Top Dog Mold Inspections. Look us up and pray for us. Well, no, Larry told me that y'all had like a leak.

**Christy Young** (2:31)
Oh geez. Okay, y'all, for background. We have this house we bought like two years ago, three years ago. I don't even know. Some kind of years ago, not very many years ago. And it has had y'all, we found black mold under the window. We had to have our whole bay window taken out, removed, like shortened. The sprinkler system was right under it. Okay, we found black mold. Then we had bats in the attic. We had to eject them during the appropriate season, so we wouldn't get find.

**Heather** (2:57)
And the smell of bats.

**Christy Young** (2:58)
And their bat poop. And we've learned so much, way more than I want to know about bats. And then we have had leaks and leaks and leaks to the point we are so done. We are so done with the roofing. And then, so just today, they found another leak because we have had torrential rains here in Georgia for the last month. Like, unprecedented rain in the summer. Y'all, it is the month of June. And typically, we have beautiful sunny weather with here and there, spring, a summer shower. It has been like torrential. We had the tropical storm Arthur came through. Y'all, I mean, we have trees down. Like, they took, it took trees down. And then, yes. And so our roof has a place right near the drier vent where now water has come through the roof. So Larry and I are just beside ourselves.
