I don't even know where to begin. I don't even know where to begin today. There's so much to talk about. Why not start at section 219? Section 219, everybody was in a tizzy yesterday. Oh my gosh, Israel is taking over. We're gonna be, our soldiers are gonna be listening to Israeli generals. Is that really what happened yesterday? Because they passed the Defense Bill, the National Defense Authorization Act.
And well, they did in the House. I don't know what the Senate is doing. But it gave a lot of great things. You know, $1.5 trillion, pay raises of 5% to 7% for all of the troops, expanded munitions production, missile defense, hypersonics, autonomous systems. It also formally renames the Department of Defense to the Department of War. And it also has the SAVE Act in it.
Okay, well, it's gotta go to the Senate. So this is all gonna be, you know. But this was not what the fight was about. Wasn't about the SAVE Act. And it's actually pretty genius, because everybody was talking about Section 219 and not the SAVE Act, which pretty brilliant. But, let's talk about Section 219, because it's not what everybody says it is. But it has something in it that I think is disturbing. But let's talk about it. We'll do that here in 60 seconds.
