You're looking live at the face of a stunned man, Deion Sanders in the Colorado Buffaloes last night in a thriller. And I'm saying last night, I'm not even going to fake the funk. We're about to go into a long Labor Day weekend. My crew is leaving town this morning, Friday morning as you're watching this. We are taping this 30 minutes after the Colorado Buffaloes, knock off Georgia Tech in thrilling fashion. A 14 to 13 ending. Again, I'm calling it thrilling. It was a really sloppy game. But you're sitting here looking at a man who thought, hey, I'm going to go up here and do this great take on how Deion's off to a terrible start.
And I have to come up here in the middle of the night so that you guys have content in the morning. And I got to give Deion Sanders credit.
The Colorado Buffalos, I know it was a sloppy game.
But the Colorado Buffalos look like a football team for the first time in Deion's entire tenure. I don't care about the nine and four season. That was fraudulent. I don't really buy it. This looked like a football team last night. They ran the football. They were tough. They were tough on the defensive side of the ball. They were resilient. They never gave up. The offense quarterback looked horrible throughout most of the game.

And then crunch time.

**Jason Whitlock** (2:04)
The quarterback showed some moxie, showed some skills, leads them on a, I think a 75 yard, game winning drive. At the end of the game, I can't believe this is going to come out of my mouth, but it has to come out of my mouth.
Deion Sanders, you finally got a team that for a night, looked like a real football team. I was halfway impressed. I was, and terrible, not impressed with Georgia Tech. I did like Mendoza, the quarterback, but I thought some of the strategy late in the game by Georgia Tech was preposterous, how they didn't work the clock and how they basically settled for a 45 yard game winning field goal. They spiked the ball inappropriately. They ran the ball late inappropriately. But my overwhelming thought, Deion put a real football team out on the field, a tough football team, a physical football team, a team that ran the ball like 40 times last night. I got to salute Deion Sanders, but I also, I'm going to need some help to get through this show. And that's why I've lined up Braden Fajoco.
I even let TJ Moe, I let TJ Moe and his entire family come stay at my house just so TJ could be here to help me get through this loss.
Is it a loss that I, yeah, I just, is it a loss I just suffered or a victory I just suffered? I can't remember. And then Charles Baker, who's a bit of a Deion groupie, we'll let him, he's got a big smile on his face, which is torturing me.
You know, I'm, anyway, Brennan, I'm hoping you're here to commiserate with me over this tragedy that happened last night with Deion pulling a rabbit out of a hat and putting a real football team on the field. I'm shocked that it happened. Are you shocked? And what did you see last night? It was nice to see Deion for the last two months, just be a coach and just shut up for a little bit. And you saw a reflection of it, of his team tonight. Charles will express it a little bit more when he gets the floor. But I saw a team that for the first time, Jason, even outside of the nine and four year, it just felt like they were physical up front. It felt like on both sides of the ball, they were coming off the ball harder than Georgia Tech. And ultimately you could say he was like Moses. He let a lot on his staff tonight, on his offensive coordinator, the defensive coordinator. So give them the game ball, man. I think Brennan Marion saved Deion's job tonight. Well, I think you could argue the defensive coordinator, Chris Marv, saved everybody's job in Colorado last night because the defense was rock solid the entire game. And the offensive coordinator, Brennan Marion, that's out there with gold chains like Deion and looks like he's got neck tattoos and whatever, not my cup of tea.
