Joe Harrison and I am here with, not my co-host today guys, but we do have somebody for you guys.
What we have here is a surprise for you all. We got a Pittsburgh native, Eastern Michigan Hall of Fame quarterback, Mac Hall of Fame quarterback, former Lions quarterback, Steelers quarterback, two-time Super Bowl champion, co-host of the Snap Count Podcast, founder of Best of the Batch, and today's guest co-host on the Deebo and Joe Show, Charlie Batch. How are you doing today, brother?

**Charlie Batch** (3:29)
And I am doing well. Even better now that I'm here with you, getting ready to talk some ball and everything else that comes along with it, man. So I appreciate you having me today.

**James Harrison** (3:38)
Yes, sir, man. Thank you. Thank you for coming on. Look here, man. I know you just got home. What was it about? Three o'clock this morning doing a TV broadcast over there at Buffalo Bills, a new stadium. How does stadium looks?

**Charlie Batch** (3:48)
Stadium looks unbelievable, man. It really does. And they did a really nice job of all of the details inside. The only thing that concerns me with all everything that comes along with that stadium is the back corner of those end zones.
It is really tight. So if a DB or a receiver is running a corner route into that back pylon, there's not a lot of runway for you to slow down. That's going to be something that I'm going to pay attention to up there in Buffalo. But outside of that, man, everything else looks fantastic, man. They should be proud up there in Buffalo.

**James Harrison** (4:22)
Okay. Okay.
It's shorter than what they had originally?

**Charlie Batch** (4:27)
Well, the old stadium was 70,000. And now I think it's 60,000. So they eliminated those 10,000 seats. They brought everything closer. And it feels like the fans are on top of you right behind the bench. But it's just those small corners in the back of the end zone, right where the tunnel was at. So if you're going down and your hands field is a little bit, so Ackershaw is a little bit more runway off of it, as you're kind of getting ready to walk up the tunnel. In this particular case, those are very tight. And I wouldn't even think that it's 10 yards that they actually have to slow down on those back corners.
Look at it to say, man, if you're running a fade route, that's one thing, but if you're running a corner at full speed trying to go get that ball with the DB chasing you, of course, as he's slowing down, that's not enough.
Yeah, he's going to naturally put his hand on it to try to stop, but that momentum is going to take both of them into that wall. I hope they have a little bit of extra padding that are in those corners because that is, that could be a potential problem. Kind of reminds me of whenever we remember when the Saints had theirs and it was not a lot of runway, but the Saints had concrete around the back of the benches. Yeah, and it wasn't until Reggie Bush didn't have enough runway and slipped on, and I think he got injured right at that particular point. And from that moment on is what they turked it all the way around. So I'm hoping that that's not the case for these players, but that's something that they have to kind of take a look at. Maybe just put some extra padding there to make sure that these players are safe.
