Nigel (0:02)
You're listening to The Hammer and Nigel Show. Hello, my name is Nigel. Jason Hammer right over there with a very special guest on the hotline.
Jason Hammer (0:12)
Professional gambler, professional degenerate, David Stephanoff of Follow Never Fade joins us. My brother, how are you?
David Stephanoff (0:22)
Thank you for having me, Hammer. Hello, Nigel.
Nigel (0:24)
Hey, buddy.
David Stephanoff (0:25)
What's going on with the degenerates out there? We had a little better week than we did the first week, Hammer. Let's try to keep it going.
Jason Hammer (0:31)
Yeah.
This brain trust here hit 75 percent last week. We went three out of four. You, David, ran the table. So you've got a one game lead on me in our standings. And again, for those listening for the first time here, every week now until the end of the Super Bowl, David's going to come on. We're going to pick two games, the Colts game or the biggest game if the Colts are eliminated and then any other game that we want at the end of the year. Whoever's got the better record, the loser donates charity money to the organization of the winner's choice. So we're being degenerate for a good cause, David.
David Stephanoff (1:11)
That's right. We're going to at the end of the season, no matter what, somebody's going to win.
Jason Hammer (1:16)
All right. So we always do the Colts game. So let's start with the Colts.
0-2, but the good news is they're in the AFC South, and that division is hot garbage. And here come the Houston Texans. The Texans are banged up. Their best wide receiver is not going to play. David, is this the week the Colts get the win? Do you have a play on this game?
David Stephanoff (1:41)
I think this is the, like you said, the AFC South is absolutely atrocious, but I do believe Hammer, this is the week that they get it done.
I just don't believe Houston has any firepower. Like you just said, the receivers are out.
They don't have, the quarterback has been atrocious play since he last, since the playoff, and he has not been very good this year. Their defense is always, don't get me wrong, their defense is absolute top notch. I think it's a bad spot for Houston. The Colts are thirsty. And after watching the Colts Sunday night, I mean, we, we, we, people go out and hate them. I go, the Colts aren't that bad. They have a little coaching, a little bit of defense. They could have won that game. But I'm really looking at the, I think the Colts here at the money line at home. I know the points for thanks one and a half right now, Hammer. But I just think with Jonathan Taylor, the Colts have a better offense than Houston. I know their defense is suspect. I think we can put some points on the board. And I just don't hate, I think five or six years from now, we're going to look back and think that Jonathan Taylor, he was a waste turn in Indianapolis. He's going to be, I think in the last 20 years, he's one of the best running backs in football. I just hate that the Colts are wasting him here. Because I really believe when he's said and done, he catches the ball, he runs the ball. I just think the Colts, this is, if they're going to win a game in this spot, give me the Colts' money line.
Jason Hammer (2:51)
So David doesn't need your stinking points. The Colts are catching points. He's got Colts' money line.
I like the way you think. I just don't have enough hair in my peaches to get to the window to pick the Colts to win.
Nigel (3:05)
Yeah, that we've been fooled before. Fool me once.
It's something that George W. Bush said, but. It won't be fooled again.
Jason Hammer (3:14)
Yeah, I just don't trust this defense at all. But what I'm going to look at, David, is the Colts team total. Right now, how many points were the Colts score in the game? Over, under 20.5.
I'm going to ride the lightning and go over. I think the Colts at home in the desperation game because they can't go and 3 Or let's be honest, they're dunzo. I have to get a desperation game at home. The Colts are good for at least 21 points. So I'm going over 20.5 team total for the Indianapolis Colts. What do you think?
David Stephanoff (3:50)
I like it. Like I said, we can we utilize Jonathan Taylor. I know Pierce is hurt.
